Martin Laursen is a Danish former footballer who played in the centre-back position. He played three seasons for Italian club A.C. Milan, with whom he won the 2003 UEFA Champions League and the 2004 Serie A championship. He also played for Italian clubs Hellas Verona and Parma FC, and was the team captain of English club Aston Villa. He was most recently the manager of BK Søllerød-Vedbæk.
Silkeborg IF is a professional Danish football club in Silkeborg, Denmark. The club was founded in 1917, reached the highest level of Danish football in 1987, and was during the 1990s one of the most successful football clubs in Denmark, finishing in first place in the league in 1993–94, third place in 1994–95 and 2000-01, second place in 1997–98 as well as a Danish Cup victory in 2001. Silkeborg has participated in European games several times, and won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1996.
Jacob Thaysen-Laursen is a Danish retired professional footballer, who played as a defender. He most notably played for English club Derby County and won the Danish Superliga championship with Silkeborg IF and F.C. Copenhagen. He played 25 matches for the Danish national team, with whom he won the 1995 King Fahd Cup and participated in the 1996 European Championship and 1998 FIFA World Cup tournaments.
Jannik Hansen is a Danish professional ice hockey right winger who is currently playing for HC CSKA Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Hansen began playing professionally at the age of 16 with both the Rødovre Mighty Bulls of the Danish league and the Malmö Redhawks of the Swedish J20 SuperElit and HockeyAllsvenskan leagues. He played three seasons with Rødovre, during which time he was selected 287th overall by the Canucks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. A year after his selection, he moved to North America to play major junior hockey with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League (WHL) for one season. In 2006–07, Hansen began playing with the Canucks' minor league affiliate, the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL). That season, he was called up by the Vancouver Canucks and became the first Danish citizen to play and register a point in an NHL playoff game. After another campaign spent primarily with Manitoba, Hansen earned a full-time roster spot with the Canucks.
