The 1956 Jordan League was the 11th season of Jordan Premier League, the top-flight league for Jordanian association football clubs. The championship was won by Al-Jazeera. [1]

The bottom four teams took part in a relegation playoff, in which Al-Jazeera and Al-Yarmouk were relegated.

The 2005–06 Jordan League was the 55th season of Jordan Premier League, the top-flight league for Jordanian association football clubs. Shabab Al-Ordon won the championship for the first time, while Kfarsoum was relegated and Shabab Al-Hussein were expelled. A total of 10 teams participated.

The 2006–07 Jordan League was the 56th season of Jordan Premier League, the top-flight league for Jordanian association football clubs. The championship was won by Al-Wehdat, while Al-Yarmouk and Al Ittihad Al Ramtha were relegated. A total of 10 teams participated.

The 2007–08 Jordan League was the 57th season of Jordan Premier League, the top-flight league for Jordanian association football clubs. The championship was won by Al-Wehdat, while Al Ramtha and Al-Ahli were relegated. A total of 10 teams participated.

The Jordan Premier League first kicked off in 1944 with Al-Faisaly Club winning the inaugural event held under the patronage of HM King Abdullah I. Four teams competed: Al-Ahli, Urdun, Homentmen and Al-Faisaly.
