The 1981–82 Austrian Hockey League season was the 52nd season of the Austrian Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Austria. Eight teams participated in the league, and VEU Feldkirch won the championship.

WAT Stadlau is a sport club in Vienna Donaustadt, Austria. The club celebrated his biggest success in ice hockey and Judo. The ice hockey team played in the Austrian Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Austria, and the Austrian National League, the second level Austrian league. The ice hockey division folded in 1991.

Donauparkhalle was an indoor ice rink in Vienna-Donaustadt in Austria. It was originally built as an expo venue in 1964, next to an earlier landfill in Donaupark near Kaisermühlen, to be used for the garden-themed exhibition Wiener Internationale Gartenschau. Two years later, it was rebuilt into an indoor ice rink.

The Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in Central Europe. Currently, the league is made up of teams representing three nations: Austria, Italy and Slovenia, whilst a team from Croatia is also considering joining. The league formed as a result of a merger between Serie A and the Inter-National League.
