The 1993 Women's Lacrosse World Cup was the fourth Women's Lacrosse World Cup and was played at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland from 7-14 August 1993. The United States defeated England in the final to win the tournament. [1] [2]

Womens Lacrosse World Cup International women’s lacrosse championship

The Women's Lacrosse World Cup (WLWC), the international championship of women's lacrosse, is held every four years. From its inception in 1982, it was sponsored by the governing body for women's lacrosse, the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations, until that body merged in 2008 with the former governing body for men's lacrosse. Since 2009, the WLWC has been sponsored by the sport's new unified governing body, the Federation of International Lacrosse. The 2017 Women's Lacrosse World Cup was held in Guildford, England, and was won by the United States over Canada by the score of 10-5.

Heriot-Watt University university

Heriot-Watt University is a public university based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Originally established in 1821 as the School of Arts of Edinburgh, the world's first mechanics' institute, it was granted university status by royal charter granted in 1966. It has campuses in Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, Orkney, United Arab Emirates and Putrajaya in Malaysia. It takes the name Heriot-Watt from Scottish inventor James Watt and Scottish philanthropist and goldsmith George Heriot.

The Iroquois national indoor lacrosse team, known as the Iroquois Nationals, represents the Iroquois Confederacy in international box lacrosse competitions. They are currently ranked second in the world by the Federation of International Lacrosse and have won Silver medals in all four World Indoor Lacrosse Championships. The team is organized by the First Nations Lacrosse Association.
