The Qatar Stars League, formerly known as the Q-League, is the highest professional league in Qatari football, with the next tier being the Qatargas League. The league's first season was played in 1963, although the first official season occurred in 1972. Al-Rayyan were crowned champions for the second season running and would therefore enter the next edition on the Asian Club Championship, which was previously reserved for the regular season league winners. Al-Wakrah, who lost in the final would enter the next edition of the Gulf Club Championship.

Introduced in 2002, the competition is a continuation of the Asian Club Championship which had started in 1967. Al-Zawra'a Sport Club is an Iraqi sports club based in Utayfia, Karkh District, West Districts of the Tigris River, Baghdad. Their football team compete in the Iraqi Premier League, the top-flight of Iraqi football. Iraq FA Cup

The Iraq FA Cup is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic Iraqi football. First held in the 1975–76 season, it is organised by and named after the Iraq Football Association. The tournament begins with one or more rounds played between lower division clubs, twelve of which advance to the Round of 32, where the Iraqi Premier League clubs are entered and the ties become two-legged. The Round of 32 is then followed by the Round of 16, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final which is played as a single leg at Al-Shaab Stadium.

It was founded in 1991, and its last ever edition was the 2003 edition. The entire tournament was usually played in a two-week period before the league season began, except for the 1995 and 2001 editions that were played midway through the league season.

The Qatari Basketball League is the top-tier men's basketball league operating in Qatar. The winning team obtains the participation right to the FIBA Asia Champions Cup. The first official season took place in 1981/82. There is a second division, with plans to expand it in the future. The 2017–18 Crown Prince Cup is the 43rd season of the Saudi premier knockout tournament for football teams of the Saudi Professional League. It will begin on 7 September 2017 and will concluded with the final on March 2018.
