The 1997 Historic Formula One Championship (also known as Thoroughbred Grand Prix) was the third season of the Historic Formula One Championship. It began at Silverstone on May 5 and ended at Brands Hatch on October 19. [1]

Historic Formula One Championship

The Historic Formula One Championship, previously known as the Thoroughbred Grand Prix Championship, was a championship for Formula One cars from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s which is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, motor sport's world governing body. The championship was recognised by the FIA in 1994 as the only official FIA Historic Formula One Championship and its first season was in 1995. For 2013, the series was taken over by Masters Racing to become the FIA Masters Historic Formula One Championship.

It was won by Bob Berridge driving a RAM 01.

Formula One is the highest class of single-seater auto racing sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and owned by the Formula One Group. The 1981 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 35th season of FIA Formula One motor racing. It featured the 1981 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1981 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a fifteen-race series that commenced on 15 March and ended on 17 October. Formula One cars also contested the 1981 South African Grand Prix, although this was technically a Formula Libre race and was not part of the Formula One World Championship.

Formula 5000 international motor racing format

Formula 5000 was an open wheel, single seater auto-racing formula that ran in different series in various regions around the world from 1968 to 1982. It was originally intended as a low-cost series aimed at open-wheel racing cars that no longer fit into any particular formula. The '5000' denomination comes from the maximum 5.0 litre engine capacity allowed in the cars, although many cars ran with smaller engines. Manufacturers included McLaren, Eagle, March, Lola, Lotus, Elfin, Matich and Chevron.

Common usage of "formula racing" encompasses other single-seater series, including the GP2 Series, which replaced Formula 3000.

The 2018–19 FIA Formula E season is the fifth season of the FIA Formula E championship, a motor racing championship for electrically-powered vehicles recognised by motorsport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for electric open-wheel racing cars.

2019 Formula One World Championship 70th running of the Formula One World Championship

The 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship is a planned motor racing championship for Formula One cars which would be the 70th running of the Formula One World Championship. It is recognised by the governing body of international motorsport, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. The championship is due to be contested over a number of Grands Prix held in different countries throughout the world. Drivers are scheduled to compete for the title of World Drivers' Champion, and teams for the World Constructors' Champion. The 2019 championship is also scheduled to see the running of the 1000th World Championship race, in China.

2018 United States Grand Prix

The 2018 United States Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on 21 October 2018 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, United States. The race was the eighteenth round of the 2018 Formula One World Championship and marked the forty-eighth running of the United States Grand Prix, the 40th time that the race run as a World Championship event since the inaugural season in 1950, and the 7th time that a World Championship round was held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
