Pan-American Team Handball Federation

The Pan-American Team Handball Federation (PATHF) is the continental governing body for handball, beach handball, wheelchair handball and snow handball in Americas since 23 May 1977. PATHF includes North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. PATHF's primary functions is to organize competitions for national teams and clubs, and to conduct Men's World Handball Championship and Women's World Handball Championship qualifying tournaments.

Qualification matches for the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship took place in 2006, mostly as continental championships. According to the IHF rules, each continent had three places, and the host (Germany) and holders (Spain) were automatically qualified. The other nine places are allocated to the continents according to performance in the 2005 World Men's Handball Championship. Thus:

International Handball Federation

The International Handball Federation (IHF) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball. IHF is responsible for the organisation of handball's major international tournaments, notably the IHF World Men's Handball Championship, which commenced in 1938, and the IHF World Women's Handball Championship, which commenced in 1957.

Danish Handball Federation

The Danish Handball Federation is the national governing body for handball in Denmark. It is based in Brøndby.

Canadian Team Handball Federation

The Canadian Team Handball Federation, CTHF, is the governing body of team handball in Canada. It was founded in 1962 and joined the International Handball Federation the same year.

The Greenland women's national handball team is the national team of Greenland managed by the Greenland Handball Federation. It takes part in international handball competitions.

The Pan American Women's Junior Handball Championship was the official competition for junior women's national handball teams of the Americas, and took place every two years. In addition to crowning the Pan American champions, the tournament also served as a qualifying tournament for the IHF Junior World Handball Championship. In 2018, the PATHF was deprived of recognition and the tournament was replaced with the North American & Caribbean and South and Central American Women's Junior Handball Championships.

The Chilean Handball Federation (CHF) is the governing body of handball and beach handball in the Republic of Chile. Founded in 1980, CHF is affiliated to the International Handball Federation and the Pan-American Team Handball Federation. CHF is also affiliated to the Chilean Olympic Committee. It is based in Santiago.

The Nor.Ca. Women's Handball Championship is the official competition for Women's national handball teams of North America and Caribbean. In addition to crowning the Nor.Ca. champions, the tournament also served as a qualifying tournament for the Pan American Handball Championship. Starting from the 2019 edition the tournament is a qualifying event for the IHF World Women's Handball Championship

The 2014 Pan American Men's Handball Championship, was the 16th official competition for senior men's national handball teams of North, Center, Caribbean and South America. It was held from 23 to 29 June 2014 in Uruguay. It also acted as the qualifying competition for the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship, securing three vacancies for the World Championship.

The 2000 Pan American Women's Handball Championship was the sixth edition of the Pan American Women's Handball Championship, held in Brazil from 31 October to 5 November 2000. It acted as the American qualifying tournament for the 2001 World Women's Handball Championship.

The 2015 NorCA Women's Handball Championship was the first edition of the Nor.Ca. Women's Handball Championship, which took place in Salinas, Puerto Rico from 30 March to 5 April 2015. It also acted as the qualifying competition for the 2017 World Men's Handball Championship in France, securing three vacancies for the World Championship.

The 2017 NorCA Women's Handball Championship was the second edition of the Nor.Ca. Women's Handball Championship. The tournament took place in Río Grande, Puerto Rico from 30 March to 3 April. It acts as the North American and Caribbean qualifying tournament for the 2017 Pan American Women's Handball Championship.

Greenland Handball Federation

The Greenland Handball Federation (GHF) is the governing body of handball and beach handball in Greenland. GHF was founded on 11 May 1974, joined International Handball Federation in 1998 and Pan-American Team Handball Federation. GHF is also affiliated with the Sports Confederation of Greenland. It is based in Nuuk.

2018 Pan American Mens Handball Championship

The 2018 Pan American Men's Handball Championship was the 18th official competition for senior men's national handball teams of North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. It was held from 16 to 24 June 2018 in Nuuk, Greenland. The South and Central America Handball Confederation (SCAHC) Spanish: Confederación Sur y Centro Americana de Balonmano (COSCABAL) is the governing body of the Olympic sport of Handball and Beach handball in south america and central america. It is affiliated to the International Handball Federation (IHF).
