The 2001 ARCA Re/Max Series was the 49th season of the ARCA Racing Series, a division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). The season began on February 11, 2001, with the Discount Auto Parts 200 at Daytona International Speedway. The season ended with the Pork. The Other White Meat 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on November 17. [1] Frank Kimmel won the drivers championship, his third in the series and second in a row, and Jason Jarrett won the Rookie of the Year award. The season was marred with the deaths of Dean Roper, who suffered a heart attack during the Par-A-Dice 100 at Illinois State Fairgrounds, [2] and Blaise Alexander, who was killed in a crash at the EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 100 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. [3]

Adam Kyler Petty was an American professional stock car racing driver. A. J. Fike is an American professional racing driver. He is the older brother of NASCAR driver Aaron Fike. Fike won the 1999 United States Auto Club (USAC) Midget Car rookie of the year title and his younger brother Aaron Fike won the award the following season making them the first brothers to win the award in back to back seasons. He later drove in several NASCAR races.
Jason Anthony Jarrett is an American race car spotter for 23XI Racing, JR Motorsports, and On Point Motorsports. A former driver in the NASCAR Busch Series and ARCA Racing Series, he has not driven in competition since 2005. Jarrett is the son of 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion Dale Jarrett and the grandson of two-time champion Ned Jarrett.
Blaise Robert Alexander Jr. also known as BR Alexander was an American professional stock car racer from Montoursville, Pennsylvania. He began racing at the age of 12 in go-karts, winning the coveted World Karting Association East Regional championship in 1992. In 1995, he moved south to Mooresville, North Carolina, and drove in the ARCA Racing Series. Named ARCA's rookie of the year in 1996, Alexander was a regular driver in that series while also driving in both the NASCAR Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series.
Charles Andrew Belmont Jr. is a retired stock car driver and team owner. Belmont began racing at an early age before moving south. In 1987, he was named the NASCAR Dash Series Rookie of the Year, then he won the championship the next year as a car owner. Belmont posted three wins in the DASH Series at Hickory Motor Speedway on October 18, 1987, Myrtle Beach Speedway on May 20, 1988, and Southside Speedway on July 8, 1988.
Damon Lusk is an American professional stock car racing driver. He primarily competed in the ARCA Re/Max Series, where he scored two wins in 53 starts between 2000 and 2009. In addition, he ran part-time in the NASCAR Busch Series for six years. This most notably included his 2003 campaign, when he left ARCA to focus on competing in the Busch Series, where he ran eleven races for Tommy Baldwin Racing.

Tim Steele was an American stock car racing driver. He won three ARCA Re/Max Series national championships and raced in NASCAR's highest three series. He was inducted in the Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
Carol Dean Roper was an American stock car driver from Fair Grove, Missouri. Roper won three consecutive USAC Stock Car championships between 1981 and 1983. He also competed part time in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series and ARCA Racing Series. He was also the father of NASCAR driver Tony Roper.
