The 2001 ARCA Re/Max Series was the 49th season of the ARCA Racing Series, a division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). The season began on February 11, 2001, with the Discount Auto Parts 200 at Daytona International Speedway. The season ended with the Pork. The Other White Meat 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on November 17. [1] Frank Kimmel won the drivers championship, his third in the series and second in a row, and Jason Jarrett won the Rookie of the Year award. The season was marred with the deaths of Dean Roper, who suffered a heart attack during the Par-A-Dice 100 at Illinois State Fairgrounds, [2] and Blaise Alexander, who was killed in a crash at the EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 100 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. [3]

Adam Kyler Petty was an American professional stock car racing driver. A member of the Petty racing family, he was the fourth generation from the Petty family to drive in races in the highest division of NASCAR racing, mostly in what was then known as the NASCAR Busch Series. He was believed to be the first fourth-generation athlete in all of modern American professional sports.
Kerry Dale Earnhardt is an American former NASCAR driver and the eldest son of seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Dale Earnhardt. He is the half-brother of former NASCAR Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kelley Earnhardt Miller. He was employed by Dale Earnhardt, Inc. as a consultant specializing in driver development until 2011. His younger son, Jeffrey Earnhardt, began racing for DEI in 2007 and currently competes in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Kerry Earnhardt is known for his physical similarity to his father.
Tony Ave is a race car driver born in Hurley, Wisconsin, USA. He competed in the Grand-Am Series from 2000 until 2002, in Formula Atlantic from 1996 until 2001, and in the Trans-Am Series since 2009. He also made three Indy Lights starts in 1993 and one Indy Pro Series start in 2003. He also has sporadic starts in NASCAR as a road course ringer.
Justin Labonte is an American former NASCAR Busch Series driver. He is the son of two-time Winston Cup Series champion Terry Labonte, and the nephew of 2000 champion Bobby Labonte. He currently races on short tracks in North Carolina.
Blake Feese is a second-generation American auto racing driver. He competed in USAC before joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2004 and 2005 as a development driver, racing in ARCA and the NASCAR Busch Series for the team. After being released from that deal, he drove in those two series as well as the NASCAR Truck Series part-time with a number of other teams through 2011.
Bryan Reffner is a former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver. He was also a champion in the American Speed Association.
Francis James Kimmel is an American former stock car racing driver. He competed primarily in the ARCA Racing Series, from 1990 through 2016. Kimmel is the most successful driver in ARCA history. He has won the ARCA championship ten times, including eight consecutive. He won the championship in 1998 and also won the 2000 through 2007 championships, and again in 2013. Kimmel also has won more races in the ARCA Series with 80 victories.
A. J. Fike is an American professional racing driver. He is the older brother of NASCAR driver Aaron Fike. Fike won the 1999 United States Auto Club (USAC) Midget Car rookie of the year title and his younger brother Aaron Fike won the award the following season making them the first brothers to win the award in back to back seasons. He later drove in several NASCAR races.
Jason Anthony Jarrett is an American race car spotter for 23XI Racing, JR Motorsports, and On Point Motorsports. A former driver in the NASCAR Busch Series and ARCA Racing Series, he has not driven in competition since 2005. Jarrett is the son of 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion Dale Jarrett and the grandson of two-time champion Ned Jarrett.
Blaise Robert Alexander Jr. also known as BR Alexander was an American professional stock car racer from Montoursville, Pennsylvania. He began racing at the age of 12 in go-karts, winning the coveted World Karting Association East Regional championship in 1992. In 1995, he moved south to Mooresville, North Carolina, and drove in the ARCA Racing Series. Named ARCA's rookie of the year in 1996, Alexander was a regular driver in that series while also driving in both the NASCAR Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series.
Charles Andrew Belmont Jr. is a retired stock car driver and team owner. Belmont began racing at an early age before moving south. In 1987, he was named the NASCAR Dash Series Rookie of the Year, then he won the championship the next year as a car owner. Belmont posted three wins in the DASH Series at Hickory Motor Speedway on October 18, 1987, Myrtle Beach Speedway on May 20, 1988, and Southside Speedway on July 8, 1988.
Damon Lusk is an American professional stock car racing driver. He primarily competed in the ARCA Re/Max Series, where he scored two wins in 53 starts between 2000 and 2009. In addition, he ran part-time in the NASCAR Busch Series for six years. This most notably included his 2003 campaign, when he left ARCA to focus on competing in the Busch Series, where he ran eleven races for Tommy Baldwin Racing.
Stephen Wallace is an American stock car racing driver. A current super late model racer, he is the son of 1989 Winston Cup champion Rusty Wallace, the nephew of NASCAR drivers Kenny and Mike Wallace, and cousin of Chrissy Wallace. Steve has made starts in all three of NASCAR's national series as well as the ARCA Racing Series, and won the Snowball Derby in 2004.
Chad McCumbee is an American stock car racing driver. He is a co-owner and driver for McCumbee-McAleer Racing in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, the team also competes in the Mazda MX-5 Cup and the IMSA Ford Mustang Challenge. He also owns and drives for Chad McCumbee Racing, a Late Model Stock Car team that competes in the CARS Tour, Virginia Triple Crown, and other big LMSC events. He is also known for his portrayal of Dale Earnhardt Jr. in 3: The Dale Earnhardt Story.

Ryan Mathews is an American stock car racing driver from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He was a part-time driver of the No. 75 Ray Hackett Racing Ford in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2009. His career also went through ASA, ARCA, and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
Chad J. Finley is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, driving the No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado for Chad Finley Racing. He is the son of former racing driver Jeff Finley, who competed in the Truck Series, the NASCAR Busch Series, and the ARCA Re/Max Series in the past.
Carol Dean Roper was an American stock car driver from Fair Grove, Missouri. Roper won three consecutive USAC Stock Car championships between 1981 and 1983. He also competed part time in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series and ARCA Racing Series. He was also the father of NASCAR driver Tony Roper.
