The 2002–2003 Panonian League Season was the first season of the multinational Panonian league. Teams from Hungary, Romania and Croatia participated. At the end of the season the playoffs were held. The top two teams in the regular season qualified for the playoffs. The season lasted from November 12, 2002 to February 5, 2003.

Panonian League international ice hockey league in Eastern Europe between 2002-2009

The Panonian League was one of the multinational ice hockey leagues in Europe. The league was established in 2002 and originally comprised teams from Hungary, Romania and Croatia. HK Vojvodina became the first Serbian team to join the league in 2003-04. The league was temporarily abandoned after 2003-04 when Hungarian and Romanian teams went on to establish their own joint league, called the MOL Liga. The Panonian League was revived in 2007 with Croatian and Serbian teams, lasting until 2009. In total there were four seasons, from 2002 to 2004, and from 2007 to 2009.

KHL Mladost ice hockey team

Klub Hokeja na Ledu Mladost, commonly referred to as KHL Mladost or simply Mladost, is a Croatian ice hockey team that currently plays in the Croatian Ice Hockey Championship.

KHL Zagreb

Klub Hokeja na Ledu Zagreb, commonly referred to as KHL Zagreb or simply Zagreb, is a Croatian ice hockey team that plays in the Croatian Ice Hockey League and formerly in the Panonian League. The club played in the IIHF European Champions Cup in 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1997 reaching first round.

Ferencvárosi Torna Club Jégkorong Szakosztály is a Hungarian ice hockey team that currently plays in the OB I bajnokság and in the MOL Liga. They play their home games at Pesterzsébeti Jégcsarnok, located in Budapest. In 1950–1951 the club was named ÉDOSZ Budapest and from 1951 to 1957 it was named Budapesti Kinizsi.

The same teams participated, and there were playoffs. The season started earlier, on September 30, and lasted until February 15, 2008.
