The 2006 AFF Women's Championship was hosted by Vietnam and was held from 29 May to 2 June 2006. All games were played in Ho Chi Minh City. A single round robin format was used for the tournament. [1]

Contents

Host nation Vietnam won their first title by winning all matches, while defending champions Myanmar failed to defend their tile after losing all matches.

This was the first time a new format had been applied, with Group stage was jointly hosted by Vietnam and Malaysia from 7 to 16 December 2004, and top two teams from each group advanced to the Semi-finals and the Final, which was played in a two-leg home-and-away format from 28 December 2004 to 16 January 2005. This was also the final AFF Cup has a Third-place match, then it wasn't continued since the 2007 edition.

Thống Nhất Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is located at 138 Đào Duy Từ Street, Ward 6, District 10. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium for both Sài Gòn and Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh of the V.League 1. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000.

The 1998 AFF Championship, officially known as the 1998 Tiger Cup, was the second edition of the AFF Championship. It was held in Vietnam from 26 August to 5 September 1998.

The AFF U-20 Youth Championship 2007 was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 31 July to 13 August 2007.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2009 AFF U-19 Youth Championship</span> International football competition

The 2009 AFF U19 Youth Championship or AFF U.19 Kova Paint Cup 2009 was the sixth edition of the tournament organized by the ASEAN Football Federation and was hosted by Vietnam for the second time. The matches were played in Ho Chi Minh City from the 4th to the 12th of August 2009. Vietnamese company Kova Paint have become the sponsors of the tournament.

The 2010 AFC Women's Championship qualification saw twelve nations attempt to qualify for the 2010 AFC Women's Asian Cup football competition. The three winners of the second round groups joined five automatic qualifiers in the finals tournament held in China in May 2010.

The 2010 AFF U-19 Youth Championship was held from 24 July to 30 July 2010, hosted by Vietnam. Only four teams will be participating, two teams from member associations of the AFF along with associate member Australia, and an invitee team from the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF).

The 2011 AFC U-19 Women's Championship was the 6th edition of the AFC U-19 Women's Championship. Vietnam hosted the tournament from 6 to 16 October 2011. The top 3 teams Japan, North Korea, and China qualified to the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. Japan was later named host of the U-20 Women's World Cup, so their spot was awarded to fourth-place finisher South Korea.

The 2012 AFF Women's Championship was football tournament held from 13 September to 22 September 2012 in Vietnam. All games were played at the Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.

The 2015 AFF Women's Championship was the eighth edition of the AFF Women's Championship, an international women's football tournament organised by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). The tournament was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam between 1–10 May 2015. Eight teams played in the tournament.

The 2008 AFF Women's Championship was held from 8 October to 20 October 2008, hosted by Vietnam. All games were played at the Thanh Long Sports Centre in Ho Chi Minh City. The hosts managed to get through to the final, but failed to win the title after losing 0–1 to Australia, who made their debut in the tournament since Football Australia transferred to the Asian Football Confederation in 2006 and were assigned to the ASEAN Football Federation.

The 2016 AFF Women's Championship was the ninth edition of the AFF Women's Championship, an international women's football tournament organised by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). The tournament was held in Mandalay, Myanmar between 26 July–4 August 2016.

The 2017 AFF Futsal Championship will be the 14th edition of the tournament. The tournament will be second AFF Futsal Championship to be held in 2017, with the first one originally meant to be hosted in 2016 to be held in early 2017.

The 2018 AFC Futsal Championship qualification was the qualification process organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to determine the participating teams for the 2018 AFC Futsal Championship, the 15th edition of the international men's futsal championship of Asia.

The 2019 AFF Futsal Championship will be the 16th edition of the tournament. The tournament was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The 2019 AFF U-18 Youth Championship or AFF U18 Next Media Cup 2019 was the 17th edition of the AFF U-19 Youth Championship, organised by ASEAN Football Federation. It was hosted by Vietnam during August 2019. Twelve member associations of the ASEAN Football Federation took part in the tournament featuring two groups of six teams.

The 2020 AFC Futsal Championship qualification was the qualification process organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to determine the participating teams for the 2020 AFC Futsal Championship, the 16th edition of the international men's futsal championship of Asia.

The VFF Tri Nation Series, also known as Hưng Thịnh International Football Tournament for sponsorship reason, and the eleventh edition of VFF Cup is a football tournament that have the Indian, Singaporean and host Vietnamese national teams as participants. It is being played from 21 September to 27 September 2022. The VFF organized the tournament by means of preparing their national team for the 2022 AFF Championship.
