The 2006 Asian Men's Handball Championship was the twelfth Asian Championship and was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 12 to 21 February 2006. It acted as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship in Germany.

Team qualified for the 2007 World Championship |
Qualification matches for the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship took place in 2006, mostly as continental championships. According to the IHF rules, each continent had three places, and the host (Germany) and holders (Spain) were automatically qualified. The other nine places are allocated to the continents according to performance in the 2005 World Men's Handball Championship. Thus:
The 2004 Asian Men's Handball Championship was the eleventh Asian Championship and was held in Doha, Qatar from 12 to 21 February 2004.
The 2002 Asian Men's Handball Championship was the tenth Asian Championship. It took place from 10 to 19 February 2002 in Isfahan, Iran. The championship was held in Isfahan's Pirouzi Arena. It acted as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2003 World Men's Handball Championship.
The 1987 Asian Men's Handball Championship was the fourth Asian Championship, which was taking place from 20 to 29 August 1987 in Amman, Jordan. The competition is played along with first Women's Championship.
The 2006 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship took place in Tehran from 25 June–30 June. It acts as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2007 Men's Youth World Handball Championship in Bahrain.

The 2014 Asian Men's Handball Championship was the 16th edition of the Asian Men's Handball Championship, held in Isa Town and Manama, Bahrain, from 25 January to 6 February 2014. It acted as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship in Qatar.
The 2023 IHF World Men's Handball Championship will be the 28th event hosted by the International Handball Federation. It will be held in Poland and Sweden from 11 to 29 January 2023. Denmark are the two-times defending World Champions, having won the 2019 and 2021 edition.

Iran under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation. It also acts as the qualification tournament for the 2015 Men's Junior World Handball Championship. Qatar wins the title by beating South Korea in the final match.

The 2016 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship was the 7th edition of the Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship held from 27 August - 5 September 2016 at Manama, Bahrain under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation. Is also acted as the qualification tournament for the 2017 Men's Youth World Handball Championship to be held in Georgia.
The 2006 African Men's Handball Championship was the 17th edition of the African Men's Handball Championship, held in Tunis and Radès, Tunisia, from 10 to 20 January 2006. It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2007 World Championship in Germany.
The 2018 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship was the 8th edition of the championship held from 16 to 26 September 2018 at Amman (Jordan) under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation. It was the third time in history that championship was organised in Jordan by the Jordan Handball Federation. The top four teams qualified for the 2019 Men's Youth World Handball Championship to be held in Republic of Macedonia.
