The 2008-09 season is the first season of the Balkan International Basketball League. Ten teams from the Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia are competing.

Format

Regular season

In the regular season the teams will be divided into two groups, each containing five teams. Each team plays every other team in its group at home and away. The top 4 teams in each group advance to the playoffs. Games will be played from October 7, 2008 to February 18, 2009.

Quarterfinals

The top four teams in each group advance for the quarterfinals. The winner of Group A/Group B will play with the fourth placed team in Group B/Group A and the second placed team in Group A/Group B will play with the third in Group B/Group A.

Final four

The four remaining teams play a semifinal match and the winners of those advance to the final. The losers play in a third-place playoff.

The playoffs, play-offs, postseason and/or finals of a sports league are a competition played after the regular season by the top competitors to determine the league champion or a similar accolade. Depending on the league, the playoffs may be either a single game, a series of games, or a tournament, and may use a single-elimination system or one of several other different playoff formats. Playoff, in regard to international fixtures, is to qualify or progress to the next round of a competition or tournament.

K3 League (2007–2019) South Korean association football league

The K3 League was a South Korean football competition that existed as an amateur league from 2007 to 2019. It was considered as the fourth and fifth tier of the South Korean football league system. It was originally located in the third tier, but it was relegated to the fourth tier after a professional league K League 2 was launched in 2013. In 2017, it was divided into the fourth-tier K3 League Advanced and the fifth-tier K3 League Basic on a system of promotion and relegation. In 2020, the K3 League Advanced/Basic and the semi-professional league Korea National League went defunct, and they will got merged into the new K3 League as third tier. The rest of the former K3 League clubs which could not qualify for the new K3 League were founded in the K4 League. The newly revamped K3 League and K4 League were established for the 2020 season.

The 2008 Major League Soccer season was the 13th season in the history of Major League Soccer. The season began on March 29 and ended with MLS Cup 2008, on November 23 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

The 2002–03 ULEB Cup was the inaugural season of Europe's secondary level professional club basketball tournament, the ULEB Cup, which is organised by Euroleague Basketball. The 2003 ULEB Cup Finals were played between Pamesa Valencia and Krka, and won by Valencia, their first title in a European-wide competition. As the winners of the 2002–03 ULEB Cup, Valencia qualified for the European top-tier level 2003–04 Euroleague.

Serie D, the fifth level of Italian Football, is usually composed of 162 teams divided into nine 18-team divisions. Special relegation of four teams from the professional leagues above Serie D after the team list had been set increased the total number of teams for this season to 166. One division will have 20 teams, two will have 19, while the other six will remain at 18 teams.

In the second season of the Balkan International Basketball League are competing ten participants from the Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro.

The 2012–13 CONCACAF Champions League was the 5th edition of the CONCACAF Champions League under its current name, and overall the 48th edition of the premier football club competition organized by CONCACAF, the regional governing body of North America, Central America and the Caribbean. It remained a 24-team tournament, but the format changed for this edition. CCL play began on July 31, 2012 and finished on May 1, 2013. The winner qualified as the CONCACAF representative for the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup.

In the third season of the Balkan International Basketball League, ten participants from the Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro and the new represented countries Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia has competed.

In the fourth season of the Balkan International Basketball League, twelve participants from the Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the new represented country Israel has competed.

The 2014–15 EuroChallenge was the 12th and last edition of Europe's third-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs. The winner and the runner-up of this competition earned a place at the group stage of next year's Eurocup season.

In the seventh season of the Balkan International Basketball League, ten participants from Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, the Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Romania has competed.

2016–17 Basketball Champions League

The 2016–17 Basketball Champions League was the inaugural season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), a European professional basketball competition for clubs that was launched by FIBA. The competition began on 27 September 2016, with the qualifying rounds, and concluded on 30 April 2017, at the Final Four.

The 2016–17 Champions Hockey League is the third season of the Champions Hockey League, a European ice hockey tournament launched by 26 founding clubs, six leagues and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The season started on 16 August 2016 with the group stage and ended with the final game on 7 February 2017 with Frölunda defeating HC Sparta Praha, 4–3 in overtime.

The 2017–18 FIBA Europe Cup was the third season of the FIBA Europe Cup, a European professional basketball competition for clubs that was launched by FIBA. The competition began on 20 September 2017, with the qualifying rounds, and concluded with the second leg of the final on 2 May 2018. The 2017–18 EuroCup Basketball, also known as 7DAYS EuroCup for sponsorship reasons, season was the 16th season of Euroleague Basketball's secondary level professional club basketball tournament. It will be the tenth season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the EuroCup, and the second season under the title sponsorship name of 7DAYS.

2019–20 Basketball Champions League Description

The 2019–20 Basketball Champions League is the fourth season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), a European-wide professional basketball competition for clubs, that was launched by FIBA. The competition began in September 2019, with the qualifying rounds, and was supposed to conclude in May 2020. On 12 March 2020, the competition was suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
