The season featured 21 teams from the 2010–11 Azadegan League, three new teams relegated from the 2010–11 Persian Gulf Cup: PAS Hamedan, Paykan and Steel Azin and three new teams promoted from the 2010–11 2nd Division: Saipa Shomal as champions, Niroye Zamini and Parseh Tehran. Esteghlal Khuzestan replaced Esteghlal Jonoub Tehran. Damash Lorestan changed their name into Gahar Zagros while Hamyari Arak changed their name into Shahrdari Arak. The league started on 14 September 2011 and ended on 19 April 2012. Paykan won the Azadegan League title for the first time in their history. Paykan, Aluminium Hormozgan and Gahar Zagros promoted to the Persian Gulf Cup.

The 2011–12 Hazfi Cup was the 25th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. Persepolis were the defending champion but were eliminated by Esteghlal in the quarter-finals; The fourth consecutive wins for Esteghlal against Persepolis in official matches. The competition began on September 12, 2011 and was end on March 15, 2012. Esteghlal beat Shahin Bushehr 4-1 on penalties and was qualified for the group stage of the 2013 AFC Champions League.

2011–12 Iranian Volleyball Super League

The Iranian Volleyball Super League 2011–12 was the 25th season of the Iranian Volleyball Super League, the highest professional volleyball league in Iran. The season started on 19 October 2011 and ended on 19 March 2012.

The 2012–13 Azadegan League was the 22nd season of the Azadegan League and 12th as the second highest division since its establishment in 1991. The season featured 19 teams from the 2011–12 Azadegan League, three new teams relegated from the 2011–12 Persian Gulf Cup: Shahin Bushehr, Shahrdari Tabriz and Mes Sarcheshmeh and four new teams promoted from the 2011–12 2nd Division: Esteghlal Ahvaz as champions, Gostaresh Foulad and Hafari Ahvaz. Alvand Hamedan replaced PAS Novin Hamedan, Bargh Shiraz replaced Steel Azin and Sang Ahan replaced Tarbiat Yazd. The league started on 13 September 2012 and ended on 16 April 2013. Gostaresh Foulad and Esteghlal Khuzestan won the Azadegan League title for the first time in their history. Gostaresh Foulad and Esteghlal Khuzestan promoted to the Persian Gulf Cup.

The 2012–13 season is PAS Hamedan's 2nd season in the Azadegan League. The team was managed by Vinko Begović and captained by Mohammad Alavi. Vinko Begović was replaced with Omid Tayeri in the middle of the season.

2013–14 Hazfi Cup football tournament season

The 2013–14 Hazfi Cup were the 27th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. Sepahan was the defending champion, but was eliminated by Sanat Naft in Round of 32. The competition started on 4 September 2013 and ended on 14 February 2014. Tractor won the title with defeating Mes Kerman in the final.

The 2013–14 Iranian Futsal Hazfi Cup were the 1st season of the Iranian futsal knockout competition. Mahan Tandis Qom won the title with defeating Misagh Tehran in the final.

2014–15 Hazfi Cup football tournament season

The 2014–15 Hazfi Cup was the 28th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. Tractor Sazi was the defending champion but was eliminated by Padideh in quarter-finals. The competition started on 1 September 2014 and ended on 1 June 2015. Zob Ahan won their third title after defeating Naft Tehran in the final.

The league started on 7 August 2017 and ended on 29 April 2018. Naft Masjed Soleyman won the Azadegan League title for the first time in their history. Naft Masjed Soleyman and Nassaji Mazandaran promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League.

The 2019–20 Hazfi Cup are the 33rd season of the Iranian football knockout competition.

2019–20 Iran Football's 2nd Division is the 19th under 2nd Division since its establishment in 2001. The season featured 21 teams from the 2nd Division 2018–19, one new team relegated from the 2018–19 Azadegan League: Shahrdari Mahshahr, and six new teams promoted from the 3rd Division 2018–19: Shahrdari Astara, Melli Haffari Ahvaz, Esteghlal Molasani, Milad Mehr Iranian Tehran, Darayi Bandar Gaz, Shohadaye Razakan Karaj.
