The 2010 Italian Figure Skating Championships (Italian : Campionati Italiani Assoluti 2010 Pattinaggio Di Figura Su Ghiaccio) was held in Brescia from December 17 through 20, 2009. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and synchronized skating on the levels of senior, junior, and novice. The results were used to choose the teams to the 2010 World Championships, the 2010 European Championships, and the 2010 World Junior Championships.

The World Junior Figure Skating Championships, commonly referred to as "World Juniors" or "Junior Worlds", is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union in which figure skaters within a designated age range compete for the title of World Junior champion. The ISU guidelines for junior eligibility have varied throughout the years – currently, skaters must be at least 13 years old but not yet 19 before the previous 1 July, except for men competing in pair skating and ice dancing where the age maximum is 21.
The 2009 World Figure Skating Championships was a senior international figure skating competition in the 2008–09 season. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.
The 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships took place between January 14 and 24 at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Spokane, Washington with AT&T as the title sponsor. Skaters competed in four disciplines – men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing – across three levels: senior, junior, and novice. Medals were awarded in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth).
The 2009 Danish Figure Skating Championships was held at the Esbjerg Skøjtehal in Esbjerg from 5 to 7 December 2008. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles and ladies' singles on the levels of senior, junior, novice, and the pre-novice levels of debs, springs, and cubs.

Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, and ice dancing on the levels of senior, junior, novice, and the pre-novice levels of debs, springs, and cubs. Not all disciplines were held on all levels due to a lack of participants.
The 2009–10 Japan Figure Skating Championships was the 78th edition of the event. It took place between December 25 and 27, 2009 at the Namihaya Dome arena in Kadoma, Osaka. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing on the senior level for the title of national champion of Japan. The event was also used to choose the Japanese teams to the 2010 World Championships and the 2010 Four Continents Championships, as well as being among the competition results used to determine the team to the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Japanese team to the 2010 World Junior Championships was chosen at the Japanese Junior Championships.
Figure skating was held as part of the 2009 New Zealand Winter Games. The competition was open to all ISU member nations. It was organized by the New Zealand Winter Games and the New Zealand Ice Skating Association. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's and ladies' singles on the levels of senior, junior, and novice. The figure skating competition at the New Zealand Winter Games was held between 28 and 30 August at the Dunedin Ice Stadium in Dunedin.
The 2010 Russian Figure Skating Championships was held from 23 to 27 December 2009 at the Yubileyny Sports Palace in Saint Petersburg. Skaters competed at the senior level in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The junior championships was held separately.

Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and synchronized skating across the levels of senior, junior, and novice. The results were among the criteria to determine the British teams for the 2009 World Championships, the 2009 European Championships, and the 2009 World Junior Championships.

The results were among the criteria used to choose the German teams to the 2010 World Championships and the 2010 European Championships.
The 2009 Three National Figure Skating Championships included the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. The event was held on December 4–6, 2008 in Třinec, Czech Republic. The 2010 Turkish Figure Skating Championships took place between 8 January and 10 January in Ankara. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, and ice dancing across the levels of senior, junior, novice, and the pre-novice of Minik.
The 2010 Belgian Figure Skating Championships took place between 20 and 21 November 2009 in Liège. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles and ladies' singles across the levels of senior, junior, novice, as well as the age-group levels of minime/miniem A, B, and C.
The 1998 Estonian Figure Skating Championships were held in Tallinn from March 13 to 15, 1998. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing on the senior and junior levels.
The 2014–15 Japan Figure Skating Championships took place on December 26–28, 2014 at the Big Hat in Nagano. It was the 83rd edition of the event. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.
