The 2011 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships took place in Sankt Wendel, Germany on the weekend of January 29 and 30, 2011. As in the previous years, four events were scheduled.

Sankt Wendel Place in Saarland, Germany

Sankt Wendel[zaŋkt ˈvɛndl̩] is a town in northeastern Saarland. It is situated on the river Blies 36 km northeast of Saarbrücken, the capital of Saarland, and is named after Saint Wendelin of Trier. According to a survey by the German Association for Housing, Town Planning and Land Use Regulation, St. Wendel is known to be one of the wealthiest regions in Germany, behind Starnberg.

University of Pittsburgh Center for International Studies

UCI World Tour

The UCI WorldTour is the premier men's elite road cycling tour, sitting above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. It refers to both the tour of 38 events and, until 2019, an annual ranking system based upon performances in these. The World Ranking was launched in 2009, and merged fully with its predecessor the UCI ProTour in 2011. UCI WorldTeams must compete at all events that were part of the tour prior to the 2017 expansion.

The 2010 UCI World Ranking was the second edition of the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2009. The series started with the Tour Down Under's opening stage on 19 January, and consisted of 13 stage races and 13 one-day races, culminating in the Giro di Lombardia on 16 October. Two new races, the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal were added to the ProTour series, and consequently to the ranking schedule. These two Canadian events, and the Tour Down Under, were the only races in the series to take place outside Europe.

The UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships are the world championships for track cycling where athletes with a physical disability compete, organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).

The Women's 500 m time trial at the 2011 UCI Track Cycling World Championships was held on March 23. 13 athletes participated in the contest.

2011 UCI Track Cycling World Championships – Mens individual pursuit

The Men's individual pursuit at the 2011 UCI Track Cycling World Championships was held on March 24. Twenty-two athletes participated in the contest. After the qualification, the two fastest riders advanced to the final and the 3rd- and 4th-fastest riders raced for the bronze medal.

The 2012 UCI Women's Road World Cup was the 15th edition of the UCI Women's Road World Cup. The calendar was to retain the same races as the 2011 edition, with the only change being the rescheduling of the Ronde van Drenthe to be the first race, until the GP Ciudad de Valladolid was cancelled for financial reasons. Annemiek Van Vleuten was the defending champion.

UC Irvine Anteaters mens volleyball

Russia at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships
