The 2012 Miller Superbike World Championship round was the sixth round of the 2012 Superbike World Championship season. It took place on the weekend of May 26–28, 2012 at Miller Motorsports Park, in Tooele, Utah, United States. The races were held on Memorial Day Monday.

Tooele, Utah City in Utah, United States

Tooele is a city in Tooele County in the U.S. state of Utah. The population was 22,502 at the 2000 census, and 32,115 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Tooele County. About 30 minutes southwest of Salt Lake City, Tooele is known for Tooele Army Depot, for its views of the nearby Oquirrh Mountains and the Great Salt Lake.

The holiday, which is currently observed every year on the last Monday of May, was most recently held on May 28, 2018. Memorial Day was previously observed on May 30 from 1868 to 1970.

Carlos Checa won the first race but lost the front and crashed in the second race while Marco Melandri finished second to Checa in the first race but won the second race. Still, it was Aprilia rider Max Biaggi that extended his lead in the championship standings by finishing third place in both races. [1]

Race 2 classification

The race was stopped after 3 laps due to Hiroshi Aoyama's crash, that spilt fluid on the track, and restarted an hour later on an 18-lap distance. [2]

Hiroshi Aoyama is a Japanese Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. He is the older brother of former 250cc and World Superbike rider, Shuhei Aoyama.

Max Biaggi Italian motorcycle racer

Massimiliano "Max" Biaggi is an Italian former Grand Prix motorcycle road racing World Champion and winner of the 2010 and 2012 World Superbike Championship. Throughout his racing career, he has won the 250cc World Championship four consecutive times, and finished as runner-up in both the 500cc and MotoGP championships. He won the 2018 British championship at the final event held at Brands Hatch in late October, having previously signed to join the Kawasaki Superbike factory team (KRT) in World Championship from 2019 as team-mate to Jonny Rea.

Carlos Checa is a Spanish former professional motorcycle road racer and winner of the 2011 Superbike World Championship. After racing in 500 cc and MotoGP for over a decade, mostly on Honda and Yamaha machinery with and without full manufacturer support, he moved to the Superbike World Championship on a Honda for 2008. He has two Grand Prix victories. He has a younger brother, David Checa, also a motorcycle racer who competed in the Superbike World Championship for 2008.

Aprilia RSV4

The Aprilia RSV4 is a super bike manufactured by Aprilia. The RSV4 is Aprilia’s flagship model. Aprilia offers two models of the bike: the RSV4 Factory and RSV4 R. For 2016 it is offered in two models the RSV4 RR and the limited-edition RSV4 RF. The 2016 updated bike was made to take advantage of and comply with this year’s Superbike rules which state that fewer modifications are allowed for production bikes. 2009 Brno Superbike World Championship round

The 2009 Brno Superbike World Championship round was the tenth round of the 2009 Superbike World Championship season. It took place on the weekend of July 24-26, 2009 at the Masaryk Circuit located in Brno. Ben Spies, Michel Fabrizio and Max Biaggi were the three dominant riders on pace all weekend - Fabrizio took Spies out in a collision in race one, before all three were on the race two podium. Checa and Rea gave Ten Kate their first ever double WSBK podium finish in race one. Championship leader Noriyuki Haga was still not 100% fit following his huge crash at Mugello in the previous round, but Spies' non-finish in race one reduced the damage to his championship. Troy Corser made flying starts to lead both races on the BMW, while his teammate Rubén Xaus suffered a broken leg in a big crash on lap one of race one.

It took place over the weekend of 24–26 February 2012 at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit near Cowes, Victoria, Australia.
