It will be in exhibition play against Dawson College on September 25 at 7 p.m. The regular season began on the road at New Hampshire on October 3. UConn's regular season home opener was October 16 against the Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey program at 7 p.m.

Kelli Allison Stack is an American former ice hockey forward, who played for Kunlun Red Star in the Canadian Women's Hockey League. She is a member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. Stack competed for the Boston College Eagles women's ice hockey program and after completing her Olympic commitment, returned to Boston College for her senior year of 2010–11. She was drafted 14th overall by the Boston Blades in the 2011 CWHL Draft.

The Maine Black Bears women’s ice hockey team represents the University of Maine. The team plays their home games in Alfond Arena. The team's first year of play was in 1997–98. The Black Bears finished 6th in the 2019–2020 season, advancing to the semi-finals of the Hockey East tournament, before losing to the eventual champions Northeastern Huskies by a score of 1–3. The 2020 Hockey East women's ice hockey tournament was cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak, but Maine would not have qualified even if the tournament had been played. Hockey East announced plans in July 2020 to play the 2020–2021 hockey season, with an emphasis on league play.

The Boston College Eagles women's ice hockey team represent Boston College in the NCAA and participate in Hockey East. The Eagles are coached by former Olympic gold medallist Katie King-Crowley and play their home games at Conte Forum. They have won the Hockey East championship three times, and made seven trips to the Frozen Four of the NCAA tournament.

Jennifer Dorothy June Wakefield is a Canadian ice hockey player and coach, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with MoDo Hockey Dam. She has served as an assistant coach to the Netherlands' women's national ice hockey team and the women's representative team of Almtuna IS in the Damettan. As a member of the Canadian national ice hockey team, she was a substitute for the roster that participated in 2010 Winter Olympics and played on the gold-medal winning team at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and the silver-medal winning team at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The Boston University Terriers women's ice hockey team represented Boston University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Terriers were coached by Brian Durocher and they were the first team in Hockey East to qualify for the NCAA Frozen Four championship game. In addition, Catherine Ward became the first Terriers player to be recognized as an All-American selection. Ward also set a program single-season record for most assists in one season with 27.

Kendall Coyne Schofield is an American professional ice hockey player and captain for the Minnesota Frost and the United States national team. With the national team, she has won six gold medals at the IIHF World Women's Championships and the gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics. In 2016, she was the winner of the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. In January 2017, Coyne was recognized as the recipient of the NCAA Today's Top 10 Award.

The Boston University Terriers women's ice hockey team represented Boston University in the 2011–12 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Terriers were coached by Brian Durocher. The seniors on the Terriers squad were Kasey Boucher, Jenn Wakefield, Carly Warren and Tara Watchorn. Boston University won its second Hockey East Championship in three seasons. In addition, the Terriers qualified for their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. At season's end, BU recorded a 23–14–1 record, marking the program's second straight 20-win season. The club triumphed in seven of its final eight games of the year, while earning a fifth-place ranking.

Geneviève Lacasse is a Canadian retired ice hockey goaltender who last played for the Montréal section of the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA). She is also a former member of the Canada women's national ice hockey team with whom she has won gold medals at both the Olympic Games and IIHF World Championships. In the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL), she is a two-time Clarkson Cup winner. Lacasse was born in Montreal, Quebec.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Merrimack Warriors women's ice hockey</span> College ice hockey team

The Merrimack Warriors women's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I women's college ice hockey program. The Warriors are a new member of Hockey East. They play at the 2,549-seat J. Thom Lawler Arena in North Andover, Massachusetts.

The Boston University Terriers represented Boston University in the Women's Hockey East Association during the 2014–15 season. The #5 Terriers won the WHEA Tournament by upsetting #1 Boston College. They earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament, where they lost to Wisconsin in the quarterfinal round.

The Boston College Eagles represented Boston College in Women's Hockey East Association play during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Eagles were repeat qualifiers for the NCAA Tournament. Alex Carpenter would become the first player in BC program history to win the Patty Kazmaier Award.
