The 2013 Boston Cannons season is the 13th season for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse. The Cannons will try to build off their 9-5 playoff season in 2012 after winning their first Steinfeld Cup in 2011.
The Boston Cannons are a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) professional men's field lacrosse team based in Boston, Massachusetts. They have played in the MLL since the inaugural 2001 season and won the MLL Championship in 2011. The team's home field is Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Teams play 14 regular-season games from late April to early August, with a four-team playoff for the championship trophy, the Steinfeld Trophy. MLL averaged 3,844 spectators per game during the 2017 season, down from a peak of 6,417 in 2011.

On television, Cannon began as a teenager on All That before going on to host The Nick Cannon Show, Wild 'N Out, America's Got Talent, Lip Sync Battle Shorties and The Masked Singer. He acted in the films Drumline, Love Don't Cost a Thing, and Roll Bounce.
The New York Lizards, originally the Long Island Lizards, are a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) team based in Hempstead, New York, located on Long Island. They are original members of the MLL. They lost the league's inaugural game on June 7, 2001 to the Baltimore Bayhawks, 16–13.

William Abb Cannon was an American football running back and tight end who played professionally in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). The 2001 Major League Lacrosse season was the inaugural season of the new semi-professional men's field lacrosse league. The league began play with six founding teams: Baltimore Bayhawks, Boston Cannons, Bridgeport Barrage, Long Island Lizards, New Jersey Pride and Rochester Rattlers. Each team played a 14-game regular season schedule that ended with a championship game on September 3, 2001.

Coming out of high school, Chris' best sport was soccer where he excelled as a marking back. Despite being a better soccer player Chris decided to pursue lacrosse in college.

Peter Thomas Ricci, also found as "P. T." Ricci, is an American professional lacrosse player who plays for the Florida Launch of Major League Lacrosse. Ricci played four years for Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania in 2005, after starring in football and lacrosse and running track. He finished his senior season at Loyola with a team leading 91 ground balls, and was the eleventh draft pick in the 2009 MLL Draft to the Chesapeake Bayhawks. After two seasons with the Bayhawks he was traded to the Boston Cannons in May 2011. He won consecutive championships in 2010 and 2011 with the Chesapeake Bayhawks and Boston Cannons respectively, attributing to the Cannons first Steinfield Trophy in MLL history. He was also selected as an all-star in 2011 season. He was traded by the Boston Cannons to the Florida Launch in November 2013 along with Lee Coppersmith and the 12th overall draft prick in the 2014 draft for Brodie Merrill, Martin Cahill and the 37th overall draft pick in the 2014 draft. He signed a 2-year deal with the Florida Launch in January 2017.

Marcus Darell Cannon is an American football offensive tackle with the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Prior to the 2011 NFL Draft, Cannon was considered one of the top offensive tackle prospects and was selected by the Patriots in the fifth round with the 138th pick of the draft. He played college football at Texas Christian University.

The 2017 Boston Cannons season was the seventeenth season for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse. The Cannons came in trying to improve upon their 8-6 record in 2016. Although they were one of seven teams tied upon the top of the standings with an 8-6 record, the Cannons were one of three teams not given a playoff berth following tiebreaker procedures.
The 2017 New York Lizards season was the seventeenth season for the New York Lizards, a charter franchise of Major League Lacrosse. It is also their fifth season using the New York moniker. The team came in trying to improve upon their 8–6 record in 2016 that was good enough for a second seed in the postseason, but ultimately resulted in a 20–17 semifinal loss to the Denver Outlaws.
The 2018 Boston Cannons season was the eighteenth season for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse. The Cannons entered the season looking to improve upon their franchise-worst and last place 3-11 record in 2017. They did so after winning their last two games of the season, finishing 5-9. The record earned them seventh place in the league standings.
