The CSV qualification for the 2014 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship saw member nations compete for two places at the finals in Italy. [1] The champion team at the 2013 Women's South American Volleyball Championship, plus the best team from the qualification tournament qualified for the World Championship.

The 2014 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship featured 24 teams. One place was allocated to the hosts, Italy, but no automatic place is given to the defending champions, Russia. The remaining 23 places were determined by a qualification process, in which entrants from among the other teams from the five FIVB confederations will compete.

The CSV qualification for the 2014 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship saw member nations compete for three places at the finals in Poland. The two best-ranked teams from the 2013 Men's South American Volleyball Championship, plus one team from the qualification tournament qualified for the 2014 World Championship.

The 2013 Women's South American Volleyball Championship was the 30th edition of the Women's South American Volleyball Championship, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). The tournament was played in Ica, Peru from September 18 to 22, 2013.

The 2021 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship was the 17th edition of the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship, contested by the women's national teams under the age of 18 of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Durango City, Mexico. Mexico were chosen as the hosts for this event for the second time after previously hosting the 2007 tournament.

The 2022 Men's U21 Volleyball South American Championship was the 25th edition of the Men's Junior South American Volleyball Championship, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the CSV. The tournament was held in Tacna, Peru from 14 to 18 September 2022. The top two teams of the tournament qualified for the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship as the CSV representatives.

The 2024 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U17 World Championship was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U17 World Championship, the biennial international youth volleyball championship contested by the women's national teams under the age of 17 of the members associations of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The tournament took place in Lima, Peru from 17 to 24 August 2024.
