The 2017 Liga 3 Bengkulu is the third edition of Liga 3 Bengkulu as a qualifying round for the 2017 Liga 3.
Liga 3 is the lowest tier in Indonesian football league system. Liga 3 also the only amateur league in Indonesia. Formed as Liga Nusantara in 2014, this league occupies the third tier and consisted of 2 rounds: provincial qualification—held in every provinces in Indonesia, and national round, competed by provincial qualifiers.
Bengkulu is a province of Indonesia, located in the southwest coast of Sumatra. It was formed on 18 November 1968 by separating out the former Bengkulu Residency area from the province of South Sumatra under Law No. 9 of 1967 and was finalised by Government Regulation No. 20 of 1968. Spread over 19,813 km2, it is bordered by the provinces of West Sumatra to the north, Jambi to the northeast, Lampung to the southeast, South Sumatra to the east, and the Indian Ocean to the northwest, south, southwest, and west.
The 2017 Liga 3 Indonesia season was the 3rd season of lower-tier and the inaugural season of the third-tier competition in Indonesia with the new name Liga 3.

Col (Chol), or Lembak, is a Malayan language of Sumatra. The speakers of this language belongs to ethnic Lembak, a small ethnic group closely related to ethnic Malays, especially those of Bengkulu and Palembang Malays. Col is closely related to Palembang Malay and Bengkulu Malay with minor differences mostly in pronunciation, the Bengkulu Malay and Palembang Malay tend to end with "o" while Col usually ends with "e". Col language has its own ISO code that is "liw".
Mohamadou Sadissou Bako or Sadissou Bako or Bako Sadissou, is a Cameroonian football player and manager who plays as a central striker. He retired in the end of 2010-11 season after played for PS Bengkulu with 3 goals in 11 appearances. He currently as caretaker manager for Persih Tembilahan after previously worked as an assistant coach for Raja Faisal.
Pekal is a Malayan language spoken by around 30,000 people on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia, more specifically in Mukomuko Regency in Bengkulu Province. It should not be confused with Mukomuko language/dialect which is much more closely related but distinct from Pekal. The Rejangs are predominantly an Islam adherent group with small numbers following a religion other than Islam. According to research, Rejangese people are the descendants of the Bukar-Sadong people who moved from the Northern Borneo (Sarawak).
The 2017 Liga 2 was the inaugural season of the Liga 2 under its current name, and the eighth season under its current league structure.
