Track cycling is a bicycle racing sport usually held on specially built banked tracks or velodromes using purpose-designed track bicycles.
Fuji Speedway is a motorsport race track standing in the foothills of Mount Fuji, in Oyama, Suntō District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It was built in the early 1960s. In the 1980s, Fuji Speedway was used for the FIA World Sportscar Championship and national racing. Originally managed by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Fuji Speedway was acquired by Toyota Motor Corporation in 2000. The circuit hosted the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix in 2007 after an absence of nearly 30 years, replacing the Suzuka Circuit owned by Honda. After Fuji Speedway hosted the 2008 race, the Japanese Grand Prix returned to Suzuka for races from 2009 onward. The Super GT Fuji 500 km race is held at the racetrack on Golden Week.
The Union Cycliste Internationale is the world governing body for sports cycling and oversees international competitive cycling events. The UCI is based in Aigle, Switzerland.
British Cycling is the main national governing body for cycle sport in Great Britain. It administers most competitive cycling in Great Britain, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. It represents Britain at the world body, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and selects national teams, including the Great Britain (GB) Cycling Team for races in Britain and abroad. As of 2020, it has a total membership of 165,000.
The UCI world championships are annual competitions promoted by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to determine world champion cyclists. They are held in several different styles of racing, in a different country each year. Championship winners wear a white jersey with coloured bands around the chest for the following year. The similarity to the colours of a rainbow gives them the colloquial name of "the rainbow jersey." The first three individuals or teams in each championship win gold, silver and bronze medals. Former world champions are allowed to wear a trim to their collar and sleeves in the same pattern as the rainbow jersey.
Lee Min-Hye was a South Korean professional racing cyclist. Lee represented her country at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, finishing 19th in the points race. She achieved great success in a major international road racing competition at the 2010 Asian Games Individual Time Trial event by winning the gold medal in the 35.6 km course in the time of 49 minutes and 38.35 seconds. She also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics, in the women's omnium, finishing in 15th place.

The Asian Cycling Championships is an annual continental cycling championships for road bicycle racing and track cycling since 1963, exclusively for Asian cyclists selected by the national governing body.
Na Ah-reum is a South Korean track and road bicycle racer, born in Naju, who last rode for UCI Women's Team Alé–Cipollini. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's road race, finishing 13th. She also competed in the road race at the 2016 Olympics. In 2018 Na won the South Korea National Championships road race and individual time trial.
The 2008 World University Cycling Championship is the 5th Word University Cycling Championship sponsored by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The championship took place in Nijmegen, Netherlands from 21 to 25 May 2008. Prague, Czech Republic and Bangkok, Thailand were also candidate cities to organize the championship. The NOC*NSF chairman Erica Terpstra opened he World Championships at the opening ceremony on 21 May. Athletes from 25 countries competed in the disciplines mountain bike cross-country, mountain bike marathon, individual time trial and road race. It was the first time in student sports that there was held a World Championship Mountain Biking.

Lance Tan Wei Sheng is a former Singaporean track and field athlete and track cyclist who competes internationally for Singapore. Tan is a multiple National Champion and record holder in various disciplines. Tan won the bronze medal at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games and competed in the decathlon at the 2015 South East Asian Games, before successfully switching sport to track cycling, representing Singapore at the 2017 South East Asian Games in 3 events.
Alistair Donohoe is an Australian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast. After suffering a right arm impairment in 2009, Donohoe became a multiple medallist at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships and UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships. He won two silver medals at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and a silver and bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Leung Chun Wing is a Hong Kong professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team HKSI Pro Cycling Team. He rode at the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. He also competed in road race events at the 2014 Asian Games and won the bronze medal.
Huang Ting-ying is a track and road cyclist from Taiwan. She competed on the track in the sprint event at the 2009 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. In 2015, she won the road race at the Asian Cycling Championships.
Yumi Kajihara is a Japanese female road racing and track cyclist. She represented Japan at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and won a silver medal in the women's omnium, becoming the first Japanese woman to win an Olympic medal in cycling.
Turakit Boonratanathanakorn is a Thai cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team Thailand Continental Cycling Team.
Iran competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan, from 24 August to 5 September 2021. This was their ninth consecutive appearance at the Summer Paralympics since 1988.
