The 2018 NCAA Division I women's volleyball rankings is a human poll designated to rank the top 25 women's college volleyball programs at the NCAA Division I level. The official rankings recognized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) are determined by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), and have released rankings for this competition since 1982. [1] The rankings are updated weekly at the beginning of the season and finalized at the conclusion of the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament.

Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball

The Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team is the NCAA Division I women's volleyball team for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. They are a member of the Big West Conference and are led by head coach Robyn Ah Mow-Santos. The Rainbow Wahine volleyball program remains a large source of financial income for the University of Hawaii athletic department, notwithstanding even what FB and MBB generates.

Foluke Gunderson Indoor volleyball player

Foluke Atinuke Gunderson is an indoor volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for Japanese club Hisamitsu Springs. Born in Canada, she represents the United States internationally. She is a participant of the Olympic Games, bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games, 2015 World Cup, silver medalist of the 2012 Olympic Games, and a gold medalist of the 2014 World Championship and 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix. She played college women's volleyball at Stanford University. She was named Pac-10 Player of the Year in 2007 and 2008. In 2021, she became a gold medalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics. in Tokyo. Her 2020 Olympics win allowed her to complete the trifecta of winning an Olympic bronze, silver, and gold medal.

Nebraska Cornhuskers womens volleyball

The Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball team competes as part of NCAA Division I, representing the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the Big Ten. Nebraska plays its home games at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, and has sold out every home match since 2001. The team has been coached by John Cook since 2000.

The Penn State Nittany Lions women's volleyball program has had a long tradition, founded in 1976 by Tom Tait, long-time coach of the Penn State men's team, who coached the women's team from 1976–79 and was named a USA Volleyball All-Time great coach in 2007.

Texas Longhorns womens volleyball Womens volleyball team of the University of Texas

The Texas Longhorns women's volleyball team represents The University of Texas at Austin in NCAA Division I intercollegiate women's volleyball competition. The Longhorns currently compete in the Big 12 Conference.

Florida Gators womens volleyball

The Florida Gators women's volleyball team represents the University of Florida in the sport of volleyball. The Gators compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Gators play their home matches in the O'Connell Center on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus, and are currently led by head coach Mary Wise.

Pittsburgh Panthers womens volleyball

Pittsburgh Panthers women's volleyball is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate volleyball program of the University of Pittsburgh, often referred to as "Pitt", located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pitt volleyball team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and plays their home games in Fitzgerald Field House. Since the founding of the volleyball program in 1974, the Panthers have had a winning season all but four years, have one of the nation's top all-time winning percentages, have appearanced in 19 national championship tournaments, and have won 14 conference championships including eleven as a member of the Big East Conference and three since joining the ACC.

Southern Virginia Knights

The Southern Virginia Knights are the athletic teams that represent Southern Virginia University, located in Buena Vista, Virginia, in NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports. The Knights compete as a member of the USA South Athletic Conference in most sports. The Knights are a member of the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) for men's volleyball. Altogether, Southern Virginia sponsors 26 sports: 13 for men and 13 for women.

Harvard Crimson mens volleyball

The Harvard Crimson men's volleyball team represents Harvard University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's volleyball. Harvard competes as a member of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association and plays its home games at the Malkin Athletic Center (MAC) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

2014 BYU Cougars womens volleyball team

The 2014 BYU Cougars women's volleyball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2014 NCAA Division I women's volleyball season. The Cougars, led by fourth year head coach Shawn Olmstead, played their home games at Smith Fieldhouse. The Cougars were members of the WCC and were picked to win the conference title in the preseason poll.

2014 Texas Longhorns volleyball team

The 2014 Texas Longhorns volleyball team represented the University of Texas in the 2014 NCAA Division I women's volleyball season. The Texas Longhorns women's volleyball team, led by 14th year head coach Jerritt Elliott, played their home games at Gregory Gymnasium. The Longhorns were members of the Big 12 and were picked to win the conference title in the preseason poll.

2015 BYU Cougars womens volleyball team

The 2015 BYU Cougars women's volleyball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2015 NCAA Division I women's volleyball season. The Cougars were led by first year head coach Heather Olmstead and played their home games at the Smith Fieldhouse. The Cougars were members of the WCC.

The Stanford Cardinal women's volleyball team represents Stanford University in the Pac-12 Conference. They are currently led by head coach Kevin Hambly and play their home games at Maples Pavilion. The team has won 9 NCAA national championships, the most of all time, and 21 regular season conference titles. They have finished as national runner-up 8 times and appeared in the first 39 NCAA tournaments, failing to qualify for the postseason for the first time during the 2020-21 season. In January 2017, John Dunning retired as head coach of Stanford volleyball. The school named Kevin Hambly as the new head coach. Hambly came from the University of Illinois and 2017 was his first season with the Cardinal.

The Hawaiʻi Rainbow Wāhine beach volleyball team, more commonly known as the Hawaiʻi SandBows, is the beach volleyball team representing the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in NCAA Division I women's play.

The CFP rankings determine who makes the four-team playoff which determines the College Football Playoff National Champion.

2021 BYU Cougars mens volleyball team

The 2021 BYU Cougars men's volleyball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2021 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Cougars, led by sixth year head coach Shawn Olmstead, play their home games at Smith Fieldhouse. The Cougars are members of the MPSF and were picked to win the MPSF in the preseason poll. After finishing last season ranked #1 the Cougars enter the 2021 season with the #1 ranking.

2021 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors volleyball team

The 2021 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors volleyball team represented the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UH) in the 2021 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Rainbow Warriors, led by 12th-year head coach Charlie Wade, played home games at Stan Sheriff Center on the UH campus in the Honolulu neighborhood of Mānoa. The Rainbow Warriors, members of the Big West Conference, were picked by Big West coaches to win the conference in its preseason poll. After a late start was announced, Hawaii went undefeated in conference play. The Rainbow Warriors suffered their first and only setback in the semifinals of the Big West Tournament, forcing them to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Despite the setback, Hawai'i received the #1 seed in the national tournament and went on to win the National Championship with straight set wins over UC Santa Barbara in the semifinals and BYU in the national championship. The national championship is Hawai'i's first men's volleyball national championship after they had to vacate the 2002 national championship.
