The Union of North African Football Federations is an association football organising body. It was launched in 2005 by the North African members of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia. The post of president will be rotated among the five founding nations.
The UNAF U-17 Tournament is a football (soccer) tournament held between nations who are members of the UNAF association, however some other teams which are not members are invited.
The Algeria national under-17 football team is the national under-17 football team of Algeria and is controlled by the Algerian Football Federation. The team competes in the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, UNAF U-17 Tournament and the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which is held every two years. The under-17 team also participates in local and international friendly tournaments. The current coach is Abdelkader Soltani.

The selection is limited to players under the age of 23, except during the Olympic Games where the use of three overage players is allowed. The team is controlled by the Algerian Football Federation.
