The curling competitions of the 2022 Winter Olympics are being held at the Beijing National Aquatics Centre, one of the Olympic Green venues. Curling competitions are scheduled for every day of the games, from February 2 to February 20. This is the eighth time that curling is part of the Olympic program.
The 2021 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Stockholm, Sweden from March 22–28, 2021. Figure skaters competed for the title of world champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition was used to determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2022 World Championships and was the first qualification event for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
The 15th FINA World Swimming Championships were held from 16 to 21 December 2021 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It was previously scheduled for 13 to 18 December but moved back three days on 24 February 2021. Originally scheduled to be held in 2020, the championships were pushed back one year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Competition took place in a 25-metre temporary pool installed at Etihad Arena.
Biathlon at the 2022 Winter Olympics will be held at the Hualindong Ski Resort, in the Zhangjiakou cluster of competition venues, 180 kilometres (110 mi) north of Beijing, at an elevation of 1,665 metres (5,463 ft). The competitions will take place from 5 to 18 February 2022.
