The 2022 WAFL Women's season was the fourth season of the WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The season commenced on 19 February and concluded with the Grand Final on 2 July 2022. [1] West Perth made their debut in the competition, increasing the league's size to seven clubs. [2] [3] Claremont won the premiership, and defeated East Fremantle by 8 points in the grand final. [4]

The Swan Districts Football Club, nicknamed the Swans, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The club is based at Bassendean Oval, in Bassendean, an eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The club was formed in 1932, and joined the then-Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) in 1934, acting as a successor to the Midland Junction Football Club, which had disbanded during World War I, in the Perth Hills region.

Peel Thunder Football Club

The Peel Thunder Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The team is based in Mandurah, Western Australia, with their home ground being Rushton Park. The club joined the WAFL as an expansion team in 1997.

The West Australian Women's Football League (WAWFL) was the governing body of women's Australian rules football in the state of Western Australia. It organised the premier women's football league in Western Australia from 1987 to 2018. It was superseded in 2019 by the WAFLW league, a joint initiative of the WAWFL and the West Australian Football Commission.

2011 WAFL season

The 2011 WAFL season was the 127th season of the West Australian Football League and its various incarnations. The season opened on 19 March, with East Perth defeating Swan Districts by 15 points at Steel Blue Oval, and concluded with the 2011 WAFL Grand Final, with Claremont defeating Subiaco by 56 points. The 2011 Sandover Medal was won by Luke Blackwell of Claremont. The top three teams – Claremont, Subiaco and West Perth – qualified for the 2012 Foxtel Cup.

Clancy Alexander Rudeforth is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Claremont Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), captaining the side from 2009 to 2011. He was previously rookie-listed at the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL), but did not play a senior game for them. Rudeforth currently works as a solicitor at a Perth-based commercial law firm.

The season commenced on 2 April and will conclude with the Grand Final on 2 October. The West Coast Eagles reserves re-joined the competition, which increased the number of competing clubs to ten.

The 2022 WAFL season is the 138th season of the various incarnations of the West Australian Football League (WAFL).The season commenced on the 15th of April, and will conclude with the Grand Final on a date TBC. Fixtures were released in stages, to allow for COVID flexibility. The first stage saw the first nine rounds of the season be released, and rounds 10-14 were released before the start of Round 7. All the teams from the previous season have been retained, as there was speculation if the West Coast Eagles reserves would return.
