The 2022-23 SVB Tweede Divisie is the 55th official season of the SVB Tweede Divisie, the 2nd division of Suriname. Sunny Point won the Second Division, but were not promoted due to the new formation of the Suriname Major League. The season had a delayed beginning, and began on 10 January 2023. It concluded on 23 July 2023.

The SVB Eerste Divisie is the highest football championship for clubs run by the Surinaamse Voetbal Bond. The Topklasse is at the top of the system of Surinamese football championships. The league currently comprises twelve teams and operates a system of promotion and relegation. Seasons run from November to June of the next year, with teams playing 30 games in the regular season. The league was known as the Hoofdklasse but became Topklasse beginning with the 2016–17 season, and then from the 2017–18 season forward, the Eerste Divisie. The competition changed to a professional league format in 2024 also changing its name to Suriname Major League

The SVB Tweede Divisie is second-highest division overall in the Surinamese football league system after the SVB Eerste Divisie, where the top club is promoted to each season. The weakest club is relegated to the Lidbondentoernooi. The league was previously known as the SVB Eerste Klasse but became the Eerste Divisie for the 2016–17 season after Suriname's top division changed its name from Hoofdklasse to Topklasse, only to be rebranded as the Tweede Divisie for the 2017–18 season.

The SVB Derde Divisie is an annual football tournament organized by the Surinamese Football Association (SVB) since 2006. It is also known as the SURIBET Lidbondentoernooi due to sponsorship. The tournament is contested by the winners and runners-up of the districts leagues from the 20 regional member associations of the SVB. The winner and runner-up of the tournament can then qualify for the SVB Eerste Klasse, the 2nd tier of football in Suriname. In 2017, the competition was rebranded as the SVB Derde Divisie.

The Derde Divisie, formerly known as Topklasse, is the fourth tier of football in the Netherlands, which had its inaugural season as a third tier in 2010–11 and as a fourth tier in 2016–17. The league is placed between the Tweede Divisie and the Vierde Divisie, the third and fifth tiers of Dutch football, respectively. The season began on 6 December 2019 and prematurely ended on 13 March 2020 due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, ultimately for the season to be abandon and null by the Surinamese Football Association. At the time of abandonment, Inter Moengotapoe led the league in points, and qualified for the 2021 Caribbean Club Shield.
