The 2023 Asian Men's Softball Championship will be an international softball tournament in Kochi, Japan. [1] It will feature six nations [2] and will be held from 25 to 28 June 2023. [3] The tournament serves as a qualifier to determine the three Asian teams for the 2025 Men's Softball World Cup. [4]

The Philippines Women's National Softball Team, nicknamed the "Blu Girls", is the national team of Philippines. They are governed by the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines. They won a bronze medal in 1970 ISF Women's World Championship in Osaka, Japan and it was their first medal won in a World Championship.

World Baseball Softball Confederation is the world governing body for the sports of baseball, softball, and Baseball5. It was established in 2013 by the merger of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) and International Softball Federation (ISF), the former world governing bodies for baseball and softball, respectively. Under WBSC's organizational structure, IBAF and ISF now serve as the Baseball Division and Softball Division of WBSC. Each division is governed by an executive committee, while the WBSC is governed by an executive board.

The second tournament, 2019 WBSC Premier12, was held in November 2019, and served as a qualifier for two teams for baseball at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

The competition was held in Viera, Florida in the United States from August 22 to August 31, 2018. The 2018 tournament was the first time that the United States hosted the event.

The 2018 Asian Men's Softball Championship was an international softball tournament which featured nine nations which was held in April 2018. The games were held at the Gelora Bung Karno Softball Stadium. The top three teams qualified for the 2019 ISF Men's World Championship to be held in Prague, Czech Republic. Six teams qualified for the Olympic softball tournament, including Japan, which, as host nation, qualified automatically. The United States team won the 2018 Women's Softball World Championship to qualify for the Olympics. The remaining four spots were allocated through three qualification tournaments: one spot for a Europe/Africa tournament, one spot for an Asia/Oceania tournament, and two spots for an Americas tournament.

The 2022 WBSC Men's Softball World Championship was the 17th Men's Softball World Championship, an international softball tournament taking place in Auckland, New Zealand from 26 November to 4 December 2022. Originally scheduled for February 2021, the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New Zealand last hosted the tournament in 2013. It will be the 17th edition of the tournament.

The 2024 Women's Softball World Cup will be the 18th Women's Softball World Cup, an international softball tournament taking place in Balbriggan, Ireland; Buttrio and Castions di Strada, Italy and Valencia, Spain. The group stage will take place from 11–26 July 2023, held as three separate groups across three nations. The finals will take place in Buttrio and Castions di Strada, Italy from 15–21 July 2024. This is the first WBSC event to be held in two stages. It will be the first time Ireland, Italy and Spain have hosted a major softball tournament. It also the first time more than one nation has hosted the tournament. The United States are the defending champions.
