2027 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification – UEFA play-offs

The play-off phase of UEFA qualification will determine the final seven European teams to directly qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup and the European representative at the inter-confederation play-offs. [1]

Format

Two rounds of home-and-away knockout matches will be held during the international windows in October 2026 and November–December 2026. [2]

The team scoring the most goals after two matches will win the tie. If the scores are even after regulation in the second leg, two 15-minute extra time periods will be played. If the scores are still even after extra time, the tie will be decided by kicks from the penalty spot (Regulations Article 28). [2]
