The 2029 Africa Cup of Nations , also referred to as AFCON 2029 or CAN 2029, is scheduled to be the 37th edition of the biennial African football tournament organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament is scheduled to take place between December 2029 and January 2030 due to the quadrennial FIFA Club World Cup having its tournament in the summer of 2029. African countries with favourable climatic conditions during this period (December-January) are eligible to bid for the tournament inorder to accommodate this period.
