The 40/40 Club was a chain of sports bars and lounges owned by Jay-Z. The name is borrowed from the baseball term for the exclusive group of Major League Baseball players who have achieved the rare individual feat of 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a single season. [1]
The first 40/40 Club opened in New York City in 2003; [2] this was followed by locations in Atlantic City in 2005, [3] in Las Vegas in 2007, [4] at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn in 2012, [5] and at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport in 2014. [2] The Atlantic City and Las Vegas locations have since closed. [3] [6] In addition to this, the flagship location in New York City was closed in August 2023. [7]
The venues are known for their live music, celebrity patrons, and sports memorabilia. The brand gained recognition when JAY-Z referenced his investment in his 2003 song "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" with the line "Now you chillin' with a boss, bitch of course SC on the sleeve / at the 40/40 club ESPN on the screen".
The decor of The 40/40 Club is a mix of memorabilia from the USA's greatest games. The "Hall of Fame" connects the main floor with the upstairs VIP rooms and houses autographed jerseys donated by various sports celebrities. The jerseys hang museum style, as well as decorate points of the lounges along with other sports memorabilia, such as the autographed gloves from the 1974 "Fight of the Century": Ali vs. Frazier and the WWE championship belt of Kurt Angle.

The 21 Club, often simply 21, was a traditional American cuisine restaurant and former prohibition-era speakeasy, located at 21 West 52nd Street in New York City. Prior to its closure in 2020, the club had been active for 90 years, and it had hosted almost every US president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It had a hidden wine cellar where it stored the collections of celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Nixon, and Sophia Loren.

Gallagher's Steakhouse is a steakhouse restaurant at 228 West 52nd Street in the Theater District in Manhattan, New York City. It was founded in November 1927 by Helen Gallagher, a former Ziegfeld girl, and wife of Edward Gallagher (1873–1929), and Jack Solomon, a colorful gambler with a large loyal following from the sporting element. These were the days of Prohibition and Gallagher's was one of the first speakeasy gathering places for gamblers, sports figures, and stars of Broadway. There is now a location in the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The Playboy Club was initially a chain of nightclubs and resorts owned and operated by Playboy Enterprises. The first Playboy Club opened in Chicago in 1960. Each club generally featured a Living Room, a Playmate Bar, a Dining Room, and a Club Room. Members and their guests were served food and drinks by Playboy Bunnies, some of whom were featured in Playboy magazine. The clubs offered name entertainers and comedians in the Club Rooms, and local musicians and the occasional close-up magician in the Living Rooms. Starting with the London and Jamaica club locations, the Playboy Club became international in scope.

Las Vegas Club was a hotel and casino located on the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The Las Vegas Club opened in 1930, joining the Las Vegas Hotel which had opened in 1908. The Las Vegas Club was relocated across the street in 1949. At its new location, the Las Vegas Club operated within the Overland Hotel, which was established in 1905.
The Stage Deli, located on Seventh Avenue just two blocks from Carnegie Hall, was a well-known New York City delicatessen, patronized by numerous celebrities. It was first opened in 1937 by Russian immigrant Max Asnas. The deli was known for Broadway-themed dishes including the "Mamma Mia!" sandwich.
