The 4th Pakistan Media Awards were held to honor the best in film, television, radio and theater of 2013 in Pakistan. This time the ceremony honored the cinematic achievements of 2013 and 2012. The ceremony was scheduled for 28 December 2013, but, due to overwhelming response from the public on online votings for the public poll of selected online nominations and high demand of public to extend the voting days for nominations, the ceremony was rescheduled for 11 January 2014 at the Expo Center in Karachi, Sindh. [1] [2] Awards was hosted by Shamoon Abbasi and Faisal Qureshi.

<i>Zindagi Gulzar Hai</i> 2012 Pakistani television series

Zindagi Gulzar Hai is a Pakistani television series directed by Sultana Siddiqui, produced by Momina Duraid under the banner Moomal Productions, which was first broadcast on Hum TV. Based on the novel of the same name by Umera Ahmad, who also wrote the screenplay, it originally aired from November 30,2012, to May 24, 2013, in Pakistan. The story revolves around two people, opposite in thoughts and financial status, and has a strong female protagonist, contributing to its popularity amongst women.

Sultana Siddiqui also known as Sultana Apa is a Pakistani media mogul, television director, and producer who is the founder of Hum Network Limited.

The Pakistan Media Awards, commonly known as The PMA, are a set of awards given annually for radio, TV, film, and theatre achievements. The award is a statuette representing a knight with a star on the chest. Its official name is the Pakistan Media Award of Merit.

The 2nd Hum Awards ceremony, presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC), sponsored by Servis and Telenor Talkshawlk, honored the best in fashion, music and Hum Television Dramas of 2013. The ceremony took place on 29 March 2014 at Expo Center in Karachi, Sindh beginning at 7:30 PST. The ceremony was recorded and was broadcast on 25 May 2014. During the ceremony, Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel presented awards in 29 regular categories along with 2 in honorary and 1 in special category. The ceremony was televised in Pakistan by Hum TV, while Servis returned as a main sponsor of the show.

The 1st ARY Film Awards or AFA'14 ceremony, presented by ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel, sponsored by Nokia, powered by ZONG and L'Oréal and took place on 27 April 2014 at the Golf Club, DHA Phase VIII, Karachi. The ceremony was held recorded and televised on 24 May 2014. During the ceremony ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel presented ARY Film Awards in 29 categories and 4 special awards honoring the actors, technical achievements and films of 2013. The ceremony, televised in Pakistan by ARY Digital and was produced by ARY Digital Network chairman Salman Iqbal. ARY Film Awards became the most expensive event held in Pakistan.

Gohar Rasheed is a Pakistani actor. He is best known for his work in the movie Seedlings, for which he was nominated for best actor in a supporting role at the 2012 New York Film Festival and the 1st ARY Film Awards, and nominated for best actor at the 13th Lux Style Awards. He is also cast in the film, The Legend of Maula Jatt, which released in October 2022.

Ali Rehman Khan is a Pakistani actor who appears in Urdu films, television series, and theater plays. Khan has won two Hum Awards and has been nominated twice at the Lux Style Awards for his acting prowess.

Shahzad Sheikh is a Pakistani television and film actor. He is the son of Pakistani actor, director and producer Jawed Sheikh. Momina Duraid is a Pakistani director and producer. She is a senior producer and creative head of television network Hum TV and CEO of her own production company MD Productions. She has produced and created several series including Dastaan (2010), Qaid-e-Tanhai (2010–11), Humsafar (2011–12), Shehr-e-Zaat (2012), Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012–13), Diyar-e-Dil (2015), Sadqay Tumhare (2015), Mann Mayal (2016), Udaari (2016), Bin Roye (2016), Yaqeen Ka Safar (2017), Suno Chanda (2018) and Ehd-e-Wafa (2019).

The Mirchi Music Award for Lyricist of The Year is given yearly by Radio Mirchi as a part of its annual Mirchi Music Awards for Hindi films, to recognise a lyricist who has delivered an outstanding performance in a film song.

Umera Ahmed is a Pakistani writer, author and screenwriter. She is best known for her novels and plays Shehr-e-Zaat, Pir-e-Kamil, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Alif, Durr-e-Shehwar, Daam, Man-o-Salwa, Qaid-e-Tanhai, Digest Writer, Maat, Kankar, Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Doraha and Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay. Umera Ahmed is one of the most widely-read and popular Urdu fiction novelists and screenplay writers of this era.
