A Million Voices (AMV) is a non-profit charity organisation based in Arendal, Norway, but operating in Manila, Philippines. The organisation, founded in December 2007 by then 21-year-old student Charlotte Isabel Johansen, is a non-governmental organisation (NGO), and receives no subsidies from any governments or political parties. It is dependent on donations from individuals and businesses, and the help of volunteers for its projects. [1]
A Million Voices' vision is "Giving a Voice to the Millions Silenced by Poverty". [2] More concise, the organisation focuses on helping children from poor families, or homeless children in Manila. Instead of giving away money, the organisation hands out food, school supplies, clothes, health care and dental care. AMV offers a scholarship program, where donors fund one year of school for a child - which includes everything a child would need for the year. Other projects aims at self-help by teaching people a livelihood, in which they can support their families without relying on charity. [3]
For many of AMVs projects it collaborates with Volunteer Professionals (VP) also situated in Manila. VP provides the AMV beneficiaries with teaching and livelihood training.
At 26 January 2012 A Million Voices signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Normal University through the Center for Teaching and Learning (PNU-CTL). This agreement ensure a 3-year collaboration to promote academical growth of the beneficiaries of the foundations projects. [4]
Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) is a not-for-profit international development organization charity with a vision for "a fair world for everyone" and a mission to "create lasting change through volunteering". VSO delivers development impact through a blended volunteer model consisting of international, national, and community volunteers working together to develop the systems and conditions for positive social change. In 2018–19, VSO worked in 23 countries in Africa and Asia.

The daytime population of the city is estimated to be more than three million during a typical working day because of the large number of people who go to the city to work, shop, and do business.
San Jose del Monte, officially the City of San Jose del Monte, is a 1st class component city in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 651,813 people, making it the largest local government unit within the province of Bulacan and Central Luzon, and the 18th most populated city in the Philippines.

Aspmyra Stadion is a football stadium in Bodø, Norway. Home of Bodø/Glimt and Grand Bodø, it holds a seated capacity for 8,270 spectators. The venue has four stands: a modern all-seater with roof, 100 club seats and 15 luxury boxes to the south, unroofed all-seater stands to the east and west and two stands to the north. An older raised grandstand with roofing at the back and a new all-seater unroofed stand in front. Before this new stand was built the area in front of the old stand was a standing area that could hold approximately 2000 people, but did not fulfill UEFA safety regulations for international matches. The venue has floodlights and artificial turf with under-soil heating. Immediately south of the venue lies Aspmyra kunstgressbane, a training pitch with artificial turf. Aspmyra Stadion has hosted one Norway national football team match, against Iceland in 2002.

The Arendal Line is a 45-kilometer (28 mi) long railway line between Arendal and Simonstad in Norway. At Nelaug, 37 kilometers (23 mi) north of Arendal, the line intersects with the Sørland Line. The southern section is electrified and provides a feeder passenger service. The line originally ran 90 kilometers (56 mi) north from Arendal to Treungen and the lake Nisser, but the upper-most part has been removed. The line is owned by the Bane NOR and operated by Go-Ahead Norge using Class 69 trains.

Arendal Airport, Gullknapp is a general aviation airport situated at Blakstadheia in Froland, Norway. It consists of a single 1,199-meter (3,650 ft) asphalt runway aligned 05/23. The airport is located about 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) from the town center of Arendal.
