La Nouba was a Cirque du Soleil show in residence in a custom-built, freestanding theater at Disney Springs' West Side at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. It was a contemporary circus performance featuring acrobats, gymnasts, and other skilled performers. The show's creation was directed by Franco Dragone, who also directed many of Cirque du Soleil's earlier shows. Its title derives from the French phrase faire la nouba, meaning "to party" or "to live it up".
The Big Apple Circus is a circus based in New York City. Opened in 1977, later becoming a nonprofit organization, it became a tourist attraction. The circus has been known for its community outreach programs, including Clown Care, as well as its humane treatment of animals. Big Apple Circus filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November 2016 and exited bankruptcy in February 2017 after its assets were bought by Compass Partners. The Circus was renewed in October 2017 for its 40th anniversary season.

It was officially founded in 1969 by brothers Jose Guillermo and Rafael L. Vazquez as Circo Americano de los Hermanos Vazquez. The Bay Area Circus Arts Festival was an annual 3-day event in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, held by the Berkeley Juggling Collective. It features workshops, casual instruction, and mini-competitions in various types of circus arts, including unicycling, hat-tossing, whip cracking, tumbling and multiple styles of juggling. The event is free for everyone and many people learn to juggle or unicycle at the festival.

Richard Risley Carlisle (1814–1874) was an American gymnast and acrobat who often performed as Professor Risley. He is known for developing a circus act of juggling with the feet known as the Risley act. He also notably brought a Japanese circus act briefly to America in the 1860s.
Circus Remedy is a circus outreach Non-Profit Organization founded in 2006 by friends Anthony Lucero, Terry Notary, and Christine Harnos. Circus Remedy has made visits to ailing children worldwide, including children's hospitals throughout North America, The Children's Aid Society in Bronx, NY, orphanages in Tanzania and South Africa, Amma's hospitals and orphanages in Kerala, India, Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT, and IDP camps in Eastern Europe. Circus Remedy sponsors partner organizations such as the Afghan Mini Mobile Circus in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Circus Harmony's ongoing collaboration with the Jewish and Arab Galilee Youth Circus in Israel. Circus Remedy has produced two short films, Bipsy Twirlarina and the Make Believe Kid, and The Fable of Profitt the Fox, both for children's hospitals. In 2009, Circus Remedy introduced 'The Little Hands Project' to California schools, bridging healthy children to children with illness.
