Airside was a design studio founded in 1998 by Alex Maclean, Nat Hunter and Fred Deakin. [1] The company won many awards, including recognition from D&AD, BAFTA and Design Week. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
Co-founder Deakin is one half of ambient/electronica music duo Lemon Jelly. Promotional material for Lemon Jelly, including posters, album covers and videos was produced by Airside. [7]
Founded before the dot-com bubble, Airside was initially known as a graphic design company; it later diversified into film-making with animation. The company closed in 2012, after being suspended for a year.
Framestore is a British animation, visual effects company, and creative studio based on Chancery Lane in London. Formed in 1986, it acquired the Computer Film Company in 1997. It works on feature films and television, commercials and immersive projects including VR experiences, digital signage and theme park attractions. Framestore employs about 2500 staff — 1000 in London, and 1500 spread across offices in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Vancouver, Mumbai and Beijing.
Sir Kenneth Charles Branagh is a British actor and filmmaker. Branagh trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and has served as its president since 2015. He has won an Academy Award, four BAFTAs, two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and an Olivier Award. He was appointed a Knight Bachelor in the 2012 Birthday Honours. Sir Roger Alexander Deakins is an English cinematographer, best known for his collaborations with directors the Coen brothers, Sam Mendes and Denis Villeneuve. Deakins has been admitted to both the British Society of Cinematographers and to the American Society of Cinematographers. He is the recipient of five BAFTA Awards for Best Cinematography, and two Academy Awards for Best Cinematography from fifteen nominations. His best-known works include The Shawshank Redemption (1994), Fargo (1996), O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), A Beautiful Mind (2001), Skyfall (2012), Sicario (2015), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), and 1917 (2019), the last two of which earned him Academy Awards.
Lost Horizons is the second studio album from the British electronic duo Lemon Jelly, released on 7 October 2002. Released by XL Recordings and produced by Nick Franglen, the album generated two charting singles in the UK, "Space Walk" and "Nice Weather for Ducks"; the latter has often been called the album's stand-out track. The album, which is built around a mix of organic instrumentation and idiosyncratic samples, was met with largely positive reviews by music critics, although it was somewhat criticised due to its near-constant mellowness.

David Mackenzie is a Scottish film director and co-founder of the Glasgow-based production company Sigma Films. He has made ten feature films including Young Adam (2003), Hallam Foe (2007), Perfect Sense (2011) and Starred Up (2013). In 2016, Mackenzie's film Hell or High Water premiered at Cannes and was theatrically released in the United States in August. The same year he executive produced Damnation, a TV pilot for Universal and USA Network. Mackenzie also directed Outlaw King (2018), a historical film for Netflix. Mackenzie and his films have been described as not fitting neatly into any particular genre or type.
Nick Franglen is a British musician, record producer and installation artist. He is best known as a founding member of the electronica duo Lemon Jelly.
Laika is an American stop-motion animation studio specializing in feature films, commercial content for all media, music videos, and short films. The studio is best known for its stop-motion feature films Coraline, ParaNorman, The Boxtrolls, Kubo and the Two Strings and Missing Link. It is owned by Nike co-founder Phil Knight and is located in Hillsboro, Oregon, part of the Portland metropolitan area. Knight's son, Travis Knight, acts as Laika's president and CEO.

Lemon Jelly is a British electronic music duo from London that formed in 1998 and went on hiatus starting in 2008. Since its inception, the band members have always been Fred Deakin and Nick Franglen. Lemon Jelly has been nominated for awards like the Mercury Music Prize and BRIT Awards. The bright colourful artwork featured in the albums and music videos, and the Lemon Jelly typeface, became part of the "brand".
Relentless Software was a British video game company formed in 2003 that was based in Brighton. The company was best known for developing 12 games in the BAFTA award-winning and multi-million selling Buzz! franchise from 2005 to 2010. Relentless released its first self-published title, Blue Toad Murder Files on PC and PSN in 2009 and Quiz Climber Rivals, for iPhone in 2011. Relentless has also developed Air Band and Mutation Station, for the Kinect Fun Labs series. In 2012 it released Kinect Nat Geo TV, after which co-founder David Amor left the studio. In 2014 the studio released Murder Files: The Enigma Express on iOS, Google Play, Google Chrome and Kindle Fire. In 2016, the studio was shut down. The studio was working on an unannounced title for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One prior to its closure.

Mads Kjoeller Damkjaer is a Danish industrial designer, strategist and entrepreneur. A double gold winner at Red Dot Design Awards, If Design Awards, D&AD Awards and Creative Circle Awards. Married to designer and entrepreneur Sidsel Kjøller Damkjær. He was the Managing Partner at the design and innovation agency Goodmorning Technology (2004-2013) in Copenhagen, London, New York (2008–2010) and Hong Kong (2010–2011) and has founded or co-founded several companies such as Contxt (2002), the Copenhagen Parts (2009) transportation and life style bike parts, PART (2007) and Future fwd (2012). As an investor he established the impact venture company Tomorrow Projects in San Francisco in 2011. He is an adviser and board member at several Start-up Companies as well as organisations as the Danish Design Association and Companies such as the architecture firm SHL/Schmidt Hammer Lassen in Denmark, Singapore, London and China. Mads has had leading roles in managing consulting firms as Implement Consulting Group and PA Consulting Group as Head of Innovation & Strategy and co-owner of the company, having worked out of London since 2014. He worked for RADI Designers and Robert Stadler in 2003 in Paris and is educated from the Danish Design School in Copenhagen (1999–2004), has studied part of MBA at AVT Business School (2012-2013) and has received certificates from Stanford University (2013-2015), Yale School of Business (2012) and Harvard Business School (2013). In May 2010 he was announced one of the 100 best business people under 35 yrs in the field of innovation in Denmark by Berlingske Business. Kjoeller Damjaer developed the Creative Leadership Impact Framework (CLIF) in 2014, an assessment and developing method for leaders and coined the term LeadTech as a term applied to leadership technology tools in 2010. Mads Kjoeller Damkjaer has won several strategy, innovation and leadership awards. On 17 November 2011 Mads was nominated with the Award by The Danish Design Counsel as one of the greatest talents in Scandinavia. In 2012 he received the Rising Star Award in New York, US. He lived in California part of 2016.
