Akie Sato(佐藤 秋恵,Satō Akie, née Shuto(首藤,Shutō), born October 23, 1956, in Ōita, Ōita Prefecture, Japan), [1] better known as Akie Asaka(浅香 あき恵,Asaka Akie), is a Japanese comedian who is represented by the talent agency, Yoshimoto Kogyo.

Yoshimoto Kogyo Co., Ltd. is a major Japanese entertainment conglomerate, with its headquarters in Osaka. It was founded in 1912 as a traditional theatre, and has since grown to be one of the most influential companies in Japan, employing most of Japan's popular owarai (comedy) talent, producing and promoting the shows they appear in.
