Akpawfu (or Akpofu) is a town in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria.
It is made up of three autonomous communities: Obodo Uvuru, Isiagu and Ajame-agu.
The traditional ruler of Obodo Uvuru is Igwe Dume Nnamoko (Uvuru 1 of Obodo Uvuru) while the traditional ruler of Ajame-agu is Igwe Christopher O. Nnamani (Amaeze 1 of Ajame-Amaeze).
It has two main streams: Iyaba and Etavu. Akpawfu is bordered by Amagunze, Akpugo and Oruku.
About 90% of the populace are literate, 95% of the communities are Christians. It central success is figured in agricultural productions. It has an estimated population of 150,000.
Akpawfu has Ovu lake which is perhaps the largest lake in Enugu state. Other lakes in Akpawfu include: Offia lake, Ururo-naka lake and Ururo-ode lake.
The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) is a university in Nigeria that was founded as Anambra State University of Technology (ASUTECH) on July 30, 1980, by the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Dr Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo. The creation of Enugu State out of Anambra State in 1991 by the then Military President General Ibrahim Gbadamasi Babangida, transformed ASUTECH into Enugu State University of Science and Technology.

The town is bordered on the North by Ugbawka, on the north east by Mburubu, Oduma on the south east and Nenwe on the south west. Their main language is the Ibo language but up to 70% of its populace are educated. Nomeh is known for its agricultural produce, especially rice, yam, cassava, palm oil and various types of vegetables.

Unadu is a community in Igbo Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. It lies North West of Nsukka. Boundaries are formed by (Akpanya) Kogi state To the North, Enugu-Ezike, Itchi and Alor-Agu. Unadu plays host to Afor Market, popularly known as Afor Unadu and situated at the central area of the community. Unadu is made up of two autonomous communities: Ohomu Unadu and Obaka Unadu. Each of the autonomous communities is ruled by a traditional chief called the Igwe.
Ede-Enu is an autonomous community within the Nsukka Local Government Area (LGA) in Enugu State, Nigeria.
The Waawa clan of Northern Igboland, also referred to as Ndi Waawa, Wawa People, are a unique sub-group of the Igbo people in Enugu and Ebonyi State, Nigeria, consisting of several communities, who all speak a unique dialect of Igbo called Waawa. The most notable among these are the Agbaja and Ngwo which consist of peoples between the wooded lands of Awka to the rocky valleys of Enugu. The Agbaja are made up of communities in present-day Ngwo clan, Udi, Ezeagu, Umulokpa, Igbo-Etiti, Oji River, greater Awgu, Odume, Ndiagbor, Nenwe, Mpu, Okpanku and Enugu East Local Government Areas. Other notable parts of the Waawa clan include Nkanu, Nsukka, Abia, Nike, Agbani, Owo, and other communities in Enugu State. The Waawa are most notably associated with Chief Onyeama's people from Eke, who was the paramount ruler of Agbaja in the early 20th century.
Nru Nsukka is a suburb located in Nsukka town. Nru Nsukka is one of the former old three autonomous communities: Mkpunanor, Nru and Ihe n'Owerre that made up the Nsukka urban area. Nru Nsukka having been upgraded to a suburban area was split into three newer autonomous communities with newly installed traditional rulers. Since 2018, the suburb is now made up of Iheagu Nru autonomous community with its traditional ruler as Sylvanus Arumah, Ezema ne Edem autonomous community with its traditional ruler as Linus.O. Atugwu and the youngest being Umuoyo Nru autonomous community with Paul Atanike as its traditional ruler elect.

Bordered by towns such as Nike, Ikem, Mbu, Eha Amufu, Obollo and Umu-Ero, Neke is a small town with a strong backbone. In the pre-colonial era, the people of Neke were known as fearsome warriors who had an economic stronghold on neighboring areas. In the present day, there are 5 main districts located in Neke namely; Ishienu, Akpani, ObeguAba, Umugwu and Umuegwu. These districts represent villages made up of clans and kindred prominent to the town's social structure.
Nawfia is a town in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. Nawfia is surrounded by neighbouring towns namely Enugwu Ukwu, Awka (Umuokpu), Nise, Amawbia and Enugwu Agidi. It is predominantly occupied by the Igbo ethnic group and is believed to be one of the towns that make up the ancestral home of Igbo people. Most of its inhabitants are Traditionalists and Christians. Igbo, English and Pigeon-English are the predominant languages spoken in Nawfia.
Alor-Agu is one of the ten communities in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. It is situated in the North of Itchi, North East of Unadu and South West of Aguibeje which is in Igbo Eze North. Alor-Agu shares boundaries with Unadu, Aguibeje, Imufu, Umuiyida (Umuopuagu, Umushele and Akpatr' respectively which are communities in Enugu-Ezike.
