Osh Region is a region (oblast) of Kyrgyzstan. Its capital is Osh, which is not part of the region. It is bounded by (clockwise) Jalal-Abad Region, Naryn Region, China (Xinjiang), Tajikistan, Batken Region, and Uzbekistan. Its total area is 28,934 km2 (11,171 sq mi). The resident population of the region was 1,391,649 as of January 2021. The region has a sizeable Uzbek minority.
The M41, known informally and more commonly as the Pamir Highway, is a road traversing the Pamir Mountains through Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan with a length of over 1,200 km. It is the only continuous route through the difficult terrain of the mountains and is the main supply route to Tajikistan's Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. The route has been in use for millennia, as there are a limited number of viable routes through the high Pamir Mountains. The road formed one link of the ancient Silk Road trade route. M41 is the Soviet road number, but it only remains as an official designation in post-Soviet Uzbekistan, as confirmed by official decree. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have passed decrees abolishing Soviet numbering of highways and assigning their own national numbering.

The Tar is a river in Kara-Kulja District of Osh Region of Kyrgyzstan. It rises on the north slopes of the Alay Range (Pamir-Alay). At its confluence with the river Kara-Kulja east of Uzgen, the Kara Darya is formed. The section of the Tar upstream from the mouth of the Terek is called Alaykuu.

The 2021 Kyrgyzstan Cup was the 30th season of the Kyrgyzstan Cup, the knockout football tournament in Kyrgyzstan. Neftchi Kochkor-Ata won the title for the second time in their history on 18 September, qualifying for the 2022 AFC Cup as a result.
