Although most of his career has been focused on recording, he has recently focused on the world of theatre, experiencing some success. This includes two nominations for the Max Awards of the Scenic Arts (2001–2002) as Best Musical Director, and for his work in My Fair Lady , the musical.
As his musical growth progressed, he made his first attempt as an arranger of musicals with Rock Quijote, the musical, in his home town of Palencia. Later, he moved to Madrid to further develop his skills. He studied piano with Ricard Miralles, harmony and arrangement with Felix Santos, singing with Maria Luisa Castellanos, and conducting with Miquel Ortega in Madrid and Antoni Ros-Marbà in Barcelona.

María Dolores "Lola" Flores Ruiz was a Spanish actress, bailaora and singer. Born in Jerez de la Frontera, Flores became interested in the performing arts at a very young age. Known for her overwhelming personality onstage, she debuted as a dancer at age sixteen at the stage production Luces de España, in her hometown. After being discovered by film director Fernando Mignoni, Flores moved to Madrid to pursue a professional career in music and film, with her first gig being the lead role in Mignoni's Martingala (1940). Flores succeeded as a film and stage actress. In 1943 she obtained her breakthrough role in the musical stage production Zambra alongside Manolo Caracol, in which she sang original compositions by Rafael de León, Manuel López-Quiroga Miquel and Antonio Quintero, including "La Zarzamora" and "La Niña de Fuego", mostly singing flamenco music, copla, rumba and ranchera. Alfonso Maribona is an orchestra conductor, pianist, composer and arranger. Maribona was born in Bilbao, and finished his piano and chamber music qualifications at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, at the same time winning First Prize at the End of Postgraduate Course by a unanimous decision.
