Aleksandar Vasiljević is a Serbian retired major general and the head of the Counterintelligence Service of Yugoslavia. Vasiljević was instrumental in the JBTZ-trial as he was the interrogation official responsible to talking with Janez Janša which was centered on Slovene dissidents and publishing of sensitive information in the youth magazine Mladina. Vasiljević retired in May 1992 and was arrested for his role in an interview with the weekly publication NIN. He was again deputy head between March 1999 and 2001. He testified in the Hague trial against Slobodan Milosevic.
FK Mladost is a football club from the town of Gacko, in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club played in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2002-03 season. However, due to poor results FK Mladost was relegated to the First League of the Republika Srpska.

Vasiljević is a Serbian surname of Ancient Greek origins deriving from the word "basileios" meaning "royal", and originally only given to children of royal or noble birth. In the 4th century A.D the name was born by St Basillos, the bishop of Caesarea, and long regarded as one of the four fathers of the Eastern (Christian) Church. It is said that in some cases the name derives from the female form of the name, and specifically from St Basilla, who in the year 304 A.D chose death rather than marry a pagan. Up to the 11th century the name was a personal name, was usually born by clerics, however after the Crusades, it became popular for returning soldiers to christen their children with Hebrew or biblical names, and thereby to commemorate the fathers deeds in the Holy Land.
The 1934–35 Balkan Cup was the fifth Balkan Cup football tournament. The national teams of Yugoslavia, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania took part and it was won by Yugoslavia. The host of the tournament was Greece and they lost the trophy on the final day on January 1, defeated to Bulgaria by 1–2 as previously on the day Yugoslavia had thrashed Romania by 4–0. This was the first Balkan Cup for Yugoslavia. The top goalscorers were Aleksandar Tirnanić and Aleksandar Tomašević with 3 goals each.

On 5 April 1992, in response to events all over Bosnia and Herzegovina 100,000 people of all nationalities turned out for a peace rally in Sarajevo. Serb Democratic Party (SDS) snipers in the Holiday Inn in the heart of Sarajevo opened fire on the crowd, killing six people and wounding several more. Suada Dilberović and an ethnic Croat woman Olga Sučić were in the first rows, protesting on the Vrbanja bridge at the time. The bridge on which Sučić and Dilberović were killed was later renamed in their honor. Six SDS snipers were arrested, but were exchanged when the SDS threatened to kill the commander of the Bosnian police academy who had been captured the previous day, after the Serb paramilitaries took over the academy and arrested him.
