The University of Central Florida (UCF) is a public research university with its main campus in unincorporated Orange County, Florida. It is part of the State University System of Florida. With 68,442 students as of the fall 2022 semester, UCF has the fourth-largest on-campus student body of any public university in the United States. UCF is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity" and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

John C. Bersia, a Pulitzer Prize winner in 2000, was a global educator and commentator. He served as Special Assistant to the President for Global Perspectives, as Director of the Global Perspectives Office and as a University Professor at the University of Central Florida. Bersia previously served as an adjunct professor in the Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College where he taught classes in international affairs. He was also the Executive Producer and host of the weekly "Global Perspectives Show" on WUCF-TV/PBS, and wrote on foreign affairs.
John C. Hitt was an American professor and academic administrator, who served as the fourth president of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida from 1992 to 2018. He was named the Orlando Sentinel's Central Floridian of the Year in 2005, and twice Orlando's most powerful person by Orlando Magazine. He was the dean of Florida's university presidents, as the longest tenured president in the state. His reputation was materially tarnished by auditor findings that tens of millions of dollars were improperly spent on construction during his tenure as president. He acknowledged the spending and resigned from his compensated fundraising role. His successor Dale Whittaker and the university's chief financial officer Bill Merck also resigned because of the scandal. Four other financial officers were fired.
Marcus James Jordan is an American former college basketball player who played for the UCF Knights men's basketball team. He is the second eldest child of retired Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan.

Alan Gooch is an American sports executive and former college football coach. He is the executive director of the Orlando Sports Foundation (OSF), which raises funds and awareness for cancer research and sponsors the Cure Bowl, a bowl game played each December in Orlando, Florida. Gooch spent most of this coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater, the University of Central Florida (UCF). In 1997, he was the inaugural recipient of the AFCA NCAA Division I-A Assistant Football Coach of the Year. Gooch served as the interim head coach for the final two games of UCF's 2003 season following the dismissal of Mike Kruczek.
The University of Central Florida College of Graduate Studies is an academic college of the University of Central Florida located in Orlando, Florida, United States. The college confers most professional and research master's degrees and doctoral degrees in various fields of study for the university. The departments under which instruction and research take place are housed in UCF's other schools and colleges. The administrative offices for the College of Graduate Studies are located in Millican Hall, on UCF's main campus. The interim dean of the college is Ross Hinkle, Ph.D.

He previously served as executive associate athletic director at Oregon State, assistant athletic director for academics at Georgia Tech, associate athletic director at the University of Houston, and athletic director at East Tennessee State University, the University of Central Florida, and the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Daniel J. White is an American university sports administrator. He is the athletic director for the Tennessee Volunteers. Jim Atchison is an American business executive. He was the President and Chief Executive Officer of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, positions he had held since 2009. On December 11, 2014 he resigned. SeaWorld acknowledged in August 2014 that the film Blackfish had hurt revenues at its San Diego, California park. At the time of Atchison's resignation the company's share price had fallen 44% that year.
