Alex Mukhanov (born May 17, 1976) is a Ukrainian former professional ice hockey defenceman.
Mukhanov played eight seasons (2004 – 2012) in the Ukrainian Professional Hockey League with six different teams. He represented Ukraine in Pool B of the 1994 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and in Pool A of the 1995 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and 1996 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

The Israel Ice Hockey Federation is recognized as the governing body for amateur ice hockey in Israel and is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It is often called the Ice Hockey Federation of Israel in order to differentiate it from the IIHF.

Ukraine is currently ranked 24th in the world by the IIHF as of the 2018 IIHF World Ranking, while their highest IIHF ranking is 11th.
The IIHF Ice Hockey World Junior Championships (WJC), commonly known simply as the World Juniors, are an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. They are traditionally held in late December, ending in early January. The tournament usually attracts top hockey players in this age category. However, some NHL teams do not release their top players as the tournament overlaps with the NHL season.
The 2000 World Junior Hockey Championships, was the 24th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. The tournament was hosted in Skellefteå and Umeå, Sweden from December 25, 1999, to January 4, 2000. The Czech Republic won the gold medal with a 1–0 shootout victory over Russia in the championship game, while Canada won the bronze medal with a 4–3 shootout victory over the United States. This still remains as the only tournament to where both medal games have been decided in a shootout.
The 1997 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships were held in Geneva and Morges, Switzerland. The tournament was won by Canada, who won their record fifth-straight gold medal with a 2–0 victory over the United States in the gold medal match. Mike York of the United States was the top scorer in the tournament, with five goals and five assists for ten points.
The 1996 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships was the 20th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship, hosted in Massachusetts. The tournament was won by Canada—defeating Sweden 4-1 in the gold-medal game—earning Canada their fourth straight gold medal and ninth overall, tying the Soviet team's record in both regards.
The 1983 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships was the seventh edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship and was held in Leningrad, Soviet Union between December 26, 1982, and January 4, 1983. The host Soviet team won the tournament with a perfect 7–0 record.
The 1993 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships was the 17th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship and was held in Gävle, Sweden. Canada won the gold medal, its sixth championship, while Sweden won silver, and the combined team of the Czech and Slovak Republics won bronze. Peter Forsberg of Sweden scored a tournament record 31 points, while teammate Markus Näslund's 13 goals also set a tournament record.

Canada won the gold medal for the second consecutive year, and its seventh overall, while Sweden won silver, and Russia the bronze.

Belarus has played in the top division eight times, first in 1999 and most recently in 2018, with their best finish being ninth overall in both 2001 and 2002. The most recent tournament, the 2019 tournament, had Belarus finished second in Division I, the second tier, and twelfth overall.

Kostiantyn Mykolaiovych "Konstantin" Simchuk is a former Ukrainian professional ice hockey goaltender. He was named best goaltender at the B Pool of the 1994 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships held in Bucharest, Romania. Now retired from his professional career, he focuses on coaching.
Oleksandr Yevhenovych "Alexander" Vyukhin was a Ukrainian and Russian professional ice hockey goaltender who last played for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He died in the 2011 Lokomotiv Yaroslavl plane crash outside of Yaroslavl, Russia.
Hockey Club Dynamo Kharkiv is a Ukrainian ice hockey club based in Kharkiv. Founded in 1979 but ceased to exist in 1992. Kharkiv Sharks, were a founding member of the Professional Hockey League of Ukraine and were renamed to Dynamo Kharkiv in 2012 but in 2014 disbanded. In 2017 re-formed again as MHC Dynamo Kharkiv.
