Mount Vernon is a city in and the county seat of Posey County, Indiana, United States. Located in the state's far southwestern corner, within 15 miles (24 km) of both the southernmost or westernmost points, it is the westernmost city in the state. The southernmost is Rockport, located along the Ohio River about 40 miles (64 km) to the southeast.
The Newberry Library is an independent research library, specializing in the humanities and located on Washington Square in Chicago, Illinois. It has been free and open to the public since 1887. Its collections encompass a variety of topics related to the history and cultural production of Western Europe and the Americas over the last six centuries. The Library is named to honor the founding bequest from the estate of philanthropist Walter Loomis Newberry. Core collection strengths support research in several subject areas, including maps, travel, and exploration; music from the Renaissance to the early twentieth century; early contact between Western colonizers and Indigenous peoples in the Western Hemisphere; the personal papers of twentieth-century American journalists; the history of printing; and genealogy and local history.

The Free Library of Philadelphia is a non-Mayoral agency of the City of Philadelphia governed by an independent Board of Trustees as per the Charter of the City of Philadelphia. The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation is a separate 501c3 non-profit with its own board of directors and serves to support the mission of the Free Library of Philadelphia through philanthropic dollars.

The Allen County Public Library (ACPL) is a public library system located in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, United States. Founded in 1895 as the Fort Wayne Public Library, the library served residents with 3,606 books out of a single room in City Hall. Today the library system includes 14 library branches within Fort Wayne and throughout the county. The 367,000 square feet (34,100 m2) Main Library Branch in downtown Fort Wayne is home to the Fred J. Reynolds Historical Genealogy Department, which holds the largest public genealogy collection in the United States.

It primarily serves Jacksonville and Duval County, and is also used by the neighboring Baker, Nassau, Clay, and St. Johns Counties. It is one of the largest library systems in Florida, with a collection of over three million items. A division of the city government, the library has the third largest group of city employees after the city's Fire Department and Sheriff's Office. Indiana Free Library is located in the middle of the town on the corner of 9th and Philadelphia Streets in Indiana, Pennsylvania, in the Community Center Building which also houses the Jimmy Stewart Museum and the Downtown Indiana offices. The service area, a population of 32,924 by the 2010 Census, is the Indiana School District which includes Indiana Borough, White Township, and Armstrong Township with Shelocta Borough. It was originally located in a Reading Room started by the New Century Club in 1907 in a building not that far from where it is now. After moving through several locations, was installed in the Community Building in 1934. The Community Building was built in 1912 but served as a YMCA during the 1920s and 1930s. A recent remodeling was completed in 2019 to refresh building systems and update the appearance of the interior and exterior surfaces. On May 16, 2007, it celebrated its 100th year of having a public library in Indiana, PA. The library is an independent state-aided non-profit corporation under Commonwealth Libraries, a state agency regulating the Pennsylvania library system. Library cards are offered to residents of supporting municipalities included in the Indiana School District at the county seat. Other county residents may purchase an annual $25. card and be served from the surrounding municipalities which have opted out of library service. There are 47,407 residents in Indiana County currently unserved by a local library.

The library was founded in 1873 and has grown to include a Central Library building, located adjacent to the Indiana World War Memorial Plaza, and 24 branch libraries spread throughout the county.

Owensboro Health is the health system in Owensboro, Kentucky. It was originally known as "Owensboro Daviess County Hospital" until it merged with the nearby and much smaller Mercy Hospital in 1995. The hospital was renamed "Owensboro Mercy Health System" until 2003 when it changed its name to "Owensboro Medical Health System". A new hospital, again renamed as simply "Owensboro Health Regional Hospital" opened at the northeast outskirts of Owensboro, in 2013.

The library is part of the Merlin Library Automation Consortium and the 8-county Northern Waters Library Service of Northern Wisconsin. The Main branch public library is located in downtown Stevens Point, WI. The other branches are located in Plover, Almond, and Rosholt. The PCPL is a member of the South Central Library System (SCLS). This membership allows for the sharing of resources between member libraries through a delivery service.

The Tampa–Hillsborough County Public Library System (THPL) is a public library system based in Hillsborough County, Florida. THPL is part of two larger library networks, the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative and the Tampa Bay Library Consortium, which also includes Temple Terrace Public Library in Temple Terrace, Florida, and Bruton Memorial Library in Plant City, Florida. There are 25 branches of the Tampa–Hillsborough County Library System, not including digital-only and mobile-only services. Services provided by the THPL include internet access, public meeting room spaces, interlibrary loans, a Bookmobile, a Cybermobile for Spanish speakers, technology classes, adult literacy programs, and downloadable eBooks. Drive-thru windows for returns and hold pick-ups are located at the Jimmie B. Keel and the Jan Kaminis Platt Regional Libraries. In 2017, THPL introduced the new HAAL Pass, which gives access to certain library resources to all students in the Hillsborough County Public Schools System. Students use their student ID number to use different online databases, borrow up to three physical items and read eBooks. The Tampa–Hillsborough County Public Library System is also a part of Hillsborough County government. On January 1, 2018 the library cooperative became one of the largest in the country to go fine free. Overdue fees for borrowed materials were eliminated with the implementation of the "Just Bring It Back" initiative. In 2019 the cooperative received the FLA Library of the Year Award. Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library was recognized for its community focused initiatives when it "reorganized its staffing model and eliminated overdue fines, yielding $1 million in savings while increasing access to library resources and expanding opportunities for community engagement through unique, scalable programs. The library is currently offering curbside service for book pick up due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
