Ali Ezzeldin Abdelghany (born 16 June 1944 in Cairo) is an Egyptian academic and marine biologist.
Abdelghany graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Cairo University in 1967. Abdelghany received a master's degree from Auburn University in 1982 with a specialization in Fisheries Management and his doctorate in Aquaculture nutrition from the University of Idaho in 1986.
Before earning his graduate degrees, Abdelghany received a fellowship with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. After a formal education, Abdelghany returned to Egypt in 1986 and joined the Central Laboratory of Aquaculture Research at Sharqiyah as head of the department of nutrition. Since 1986, he has done research on various fish-related issues, including improving dietary growth and the reduction of feeding costs by using alternative methods. He has been appointed the director of CLAR twice (1993/1994 and 2001/2002).

Zahi Abass Hawass is an Egyptian archaeologist, Egyptologist, and former Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs, serving twice. He has also worked at archaeological sites in the Nile Delta, the Western Desert, and the Upper Nile Valley.
The American University in Cairo is a private research university in Cairo, Egypt. The university offers American-style learning programs at undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels, along with a continuing education program.
Cairo University, also known as the Egyptian University from 1908 to 1940, and King Fuad I University and Fu'ād al-Awwal University from 1940 to 1952, is Egypt's premier public university. Its main campus is in Giza, immediately across the Nile from Cairo. It was founded on 21 December 1908; however, after being housed in various parts of Cairo, its faculties, beginning with the Faculty of Arts, were established on its current main campus in Giza in October 1929. It is the second oldest institution of higher education in Egypt after Al Azhar University, notwithstanding the pre-existing higher professional schools that later became constituent colleges of the university. It was founded and funded as the Egyptian University by a committee of private citizens with royal patronage in 1908 and became a state institution under King Fuad I in 1925. In 1940, four years following his death, the university was renamed King Fuad I University in his honor. It was renamed a second time after the Egyptian revolution of 1952. The university currently enrolls approximately 155,000 students in 20 faculties and 3 institutions. It counts three Nobel Laureates among its graduates and is one of the 50 largest institutions of higher education in the world by enrollment.
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) is a regional university operated by the Arab League which runs programs in marine transportation, business, and engineering. AASTMT started as a notion in the Arab League Transport Committee''s meetings on 11th of March, 1970. The Academy's inception was in 1972 in the city of Alexandria, Egypt. After that it expanded into Cairo.
Sufi Abu Taleb was an Egyptian politician. He served as Speaker of the People's Assembly from 1978 to 1983 and, following the assassination of Anwar Sadat on 6 October 1981, assumed the duties of acting head of state for eight days per the Egyptian Constitution. He subsequently stepped aside for Sadat's Vice President Hosni Mubarak.
Mahmoud Mohieldin, is an economist with more than 30 years of experience in international finance and development. He is the UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for Egypt. He is an Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund. He has been the United Nations Special Envoy on Financing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda since February 2020. He was the Minister of Investment of Egypt from 2004-2010, and most recently, served as the World Bank Group Senior Vice President for the 2030 Development Agenda, United Nations Relations and Partnerships. His roles at the World Bank also included Managing Director, responsible for Human Development, Sustainable Development, Poverty Reduction and Economic Management, Finance and Private Sector Development, and the World Bank Institute; World Bank President's Special Envoy on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the Post-2015 Development Agenda, and Financing for Development; and Corporate Secretary and Executive Secretary to the Development Committee of the World Bank Group's Board of Governors. Dr Mohieldin also served on several Boards of Directors in the Central Bank of Egypt and the corporate sector. He was a member of the Commission on Growth and Development and was selected for the Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2005. His professional experience extends into the academic arena as a Professor of Economics and Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University and as a Visiting Professor at several renowned Universities in Egypt, Korea, the UAE, the UK and the USA. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of Durham University Business School. He also holds leading positions in national, regional and international research centres and associations. He has authored numerous publications and articles in leading journals in the fields of economics, finance and development.

Essam al-Din Muhammad Hussein el-Erian was an Egyptian physician and politician. He was the vice chairman of the Freedom And Justice party. Formerly he was a member of the Guidance Bureau of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was elected as a parliament member in the 2011–12 Egyptian parliamentary election. After the 2013 Egyptian coup, prosecutors ordered his arrest on 10 July 2013. On 14 July 2013, Egypt's new prosecutor general Hisham Barakat ordered his assets to be frozen. el-Erian was arrested by the government on 30 October 2013.
The Certification for Aquaculture Professionals (CAP) is an online program developed by the Auburn University Department of Fisheries and Allied Aquaculture, located in Auburn, Alabama, to teach aquaculture techniques and skills to a wide spectrum of professionals from government extension workers and industrial aquaculture to individual fish farmers. CAP is an online course that is accessible anywhere there is access to the internet. The course contains 10 modules that were developed and taught by professors who are leading experts in their fields. The certification gained upon completion of the course sets a standard and consistent level of education within the aquaculture community.

Ahmed Moharram, Sr. was Minister of Housing and Public Utilities in Egypt and the co-founder and chairman of ACE Moharram Bakhoum, an international engineering and project management group. Because of his significant contributions to the housing, infrastructure, and civil engineering, Moharram received numerous honorary medals and awards such as the Medal of the Order of the Republic of the 1st Degree in 1964 from the former president Gamal Abdel Nasser, Medal of the Order of Merit of the 1st Degree in 1985 from the former president Hosni Mubarak, Mubarak's Award in 2002, and several other honors in Egypt. There is also a prize named after him at Cairo University for contributions in engineering.

He is the chairman and the founder of the Actuarial Science Program at the American University in Cairo. He is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute, the American Statistical Association and African Academy of Sciences.
