Ali Azmat Butt is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He is best known as the lead singer for the influential Sufi Rock band Junoon and for his subsequent solo career. In 2001, he became part of the first Pakistani band (Junoon) ever to perform at the United Nations General Assembly.

However, the duet sung with Shubha Mudgal featured only Salman Ahmad for the male vocals. In 2016, a new rendition of the song featured in the band's eighth studio album, Door.

Azmatkhan al-Husayni, also spelled Azmat Khan, al-Azhamatkhan or al-Azhamat Chan are a family originating in Hadhramaut. They trace their lineage to Sayyid Abd al-Malik Azmatkhan ibn Alawi Ammul Faqih, a descendant of Husayn ibn Ali. Sayyid Abd al-Malik emigrated from Hadhramaut to India in 14th century AD, earlier than other emigrations from Hadhramaut.

"Talaash" is a song by the Pakistani sufi rock band Junoon. It is the seventh track and the only single released from the band's second album, Talaash (1993), released on EMI Records. Written by guitarist Salman Ahmad, it is the lead single on the album. The song uses blending of rock guitars and bluesy vocals with eastern elements like the use of tablas. It remains one of the band's most popular songs. In addition, the album version of the song featured in the compilation album, Kashmakash, released in 1995.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs 2011 was the fifth season of the popular Indian Zee TV show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs. Broadcast from 3 June 2011, the music reality show had 18 participants: 9 boys and 9 girls. The theme for season 5 was Music Ka Gurukul. The show was won by Azmat Hussain, who later became a contestant on season 11 of Indian Idol. The runner-up was Salman Ali who later on became the winner of season 10 of Indian Idol.

Jhol is an unreleased Pakistani action comedy film directed and written by Shahid Shafaat, at his directorial debut, and co-produced by Hamza Ansari, Hassaan Azher under the production banner Epiction Films. The film stars an ensemble cast of Urwa Hocane, Zahid Ahmed, Ali Azmat and Saleem Mairaj. Babra Sharif has been roped in to play Bilal Ashraf's mother in the film whereas Mustafa Qureshi who will play Ali Azmat's father. The film will be distributed by IMGC Global Entertainment.
