Alldritt Tower is an approved 80 storey mixed use skyscraper in Edmonton, Alberta. It could be the tallest building in Western Canada. [1]

A skyscraper is a continuously habitable high-rise building that has over 40 floors and is taller than approximately 150 m (492 ft). Historically, the term first referred to buildings with 10 to 20 floors in the 1880s. The definition shifted with advancing construction technology during the 20th century. Skyscrapers may host commercial offices or residential space, or both. For buildings above a height of 300 m (984 ft), the term "supertall" can be used, while skyscrapers reaching beyond 600 m (1,969 ft) are classified as "megatall".

The Scotia Tower is a skyscraper in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is 27 stories, and 127.64 metres (418.8 ft) tall. It was designed by WZMH Architects and constructed in 1990. It was built in the postmodern architectural style, with granite and glass facades. Tour Scotia is located at 1002 Sherbrooke Street West opposite McTavish Street, and is linked to Montreal's Underground City and Peel station on the Montreal Metro.

Ice District also referred to as the Edmonton Arena District, is a $2.5 billion mixed-use sports and entertainment district being developed on 10 hectares of land in Downtown Edmonton, Alberta. Stantec Tower is a mixed-use skyscraper currently under construction and almost completed in the Ice District in downtown Edmonton, Alberta. As of 23 May 2018, it reached a construction height of 197 m (646.3 ft) and surpassed the JW Marriott Edmonton Ice District & Residences, becoming the tallest building in Edmonton. The office area of the tower opened on September 26, 2018, and the residential portion will open in 2019. Stantec Tower is 250.9 m (823.2 ft) tall, making it the tallest building in Canada outside Toronto. The 66-storey tower consists of retail space, offices, and 454 residential units. JW Marriott Edmonton Ice District & Residences hotel/residential condo tower in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

The JW Marriott Edmonton Ice District & Residences is a mixed-use skyscraper being built in Edmonton, Alberta as part of the downtown Ice District. It will be a combination of a J.W. Marriott hotel in the lower section, with residential condos named Legends Private Residences in the upper section. Construction began in November 2014 and the building is planned to open in August 2019. The tower became the tallest building in Edmonton on 3 November 2017 and held that status until it was surpassed by the Stantec Tower in May 2018, en route to topping out its 56th floor at its final height of 192 metres (630 ft) on 20 March 2018.

It opened in mid-December 2016. In total it has 3,716 square metres (40,000 sq ft) of retail space, and over 48,000 square metres (520,000 sq ft) of office lease-able area. It is Edmonton's seventh tallest building.
