Alsemberg is a rural town with about 5,300 inhabitants in the municipality of Beersel, in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium, situated south of Brussels.
The official language is Dutch (as everywhere in Flanders). Located close to Brussels, to Wallonia and the municipality with linguistic facilities of Sint-Genesius-Rode, Alsemberg is home to a minority of French-speakers.

Beersel is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Alsemberg, Beersel proper, Dworp, Huizingen and Lot. On 1 January 2018 Beersel had a total population of 25,069. The total area is 30.01 km² which gives a population density of 835 inhabitants per km². It is close to Brussels; Beersel is approximately 12 km southwest of the center of the city.

The Diamant premetro station is a station on the Brussels Metro located in the municipality of Schaerbeek in Brussels, Belgium. It was inaugurated on May 2, 1972. The station is a "premetro" station. It is thus not used by conventional subway trains, but by Brussels trams. It is one of four subway stations of the so-called Greater Ring axis built in the 1970s, which runs under the greater ring road. This underground station is currently served by tram routes 7 and 25. It offers a connection with bus routes 12, 21, 28, 29 and 79 at ground level.
The Greater Ring or Intermediate Ring in Brussels, Belgium is a set of roads in the shape of a ring, intermediate between the Small Ring and the main Brussels Ring motorway. The Albert premetro station is an underground tram station located on the border between the municipalities of Saint-Gilles and Forest in Brussels, Belgium. The station is at the crossroad between the Avenue Albert/Albertlaan on the greater ring road and the Chaussée d'Alsemberg/Alsembergsesteenweg between the Forest park and the Saint-Gilles prison. The station is the last stop south of the North-South Axis, a tram tunnel crossing Brussels city center from Albert to the Brussels-North railway station. It is on tram routes 3 and 4 and evening route 33. There is a connection at ground level with tram route 51 as well as bus routes 48 and 54.
The Anneessens premetro station is an underground tram station in the municipality of the City of Brussels in the city center of Brussels, Belgium. The station is located under the Anneessens square along the Maurice Lemonnier boulevard. It is on the North-South Axis, a tram tunnel crossing the city center from the Brussels-North railway station to the Albert premetro station. Tram routes 3 and 4, as well as evening routes 31, 32 and 33 stop at this station.
The Georges Henri premetro station is part of the Brussels Metro system. It is located in the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in the Brussels-Capital Region of Belgium. The station opened on 30 January 1975. Named for the Avenue Georges Henrilaan, which runs perpendicular to the greater ring at the south end of the station, it is located on the Boulevard Brand Whitlocklaan section of the greater ring. It is the second of four stations on the greater ring premetro, connecting by Diamant premetro station to the north and Montgomery metro station to the south. The station is served by the 7 and 25 trams and the 27, 28 and 80 buses.
