Skatval Village in Central Norway, Norway

Skatval is a village in the municipality of Stjørdal in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located on the Skatval peninsula about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) northwest of the town of Stjørdalshalsen. The inhabitants are called as Skatvalsbygg. Skatval Church is located in the village.

The Hell–Sunnan Line is a 105-kilometer-long (65 mi) railway line between Hell, Stjørdal and Sunnan, Steinkjer in Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. The name is no longer in official use and the line is now considered part of the Nordland Line. The Hell–Sunnan Line branches from the Meråker Line at Hell and runs on the east shore of the Trondheimsfjord passing through the municipalities of Stjørdal, Levanger, Verdal, Inderøy and Steinkjer.

Selbustrand Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Selbu municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Selbustrand. It is one of the churches for the Selbu parish which is part of the Stjørdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1901 using plans drawn up by the architect Olaf Jarl Alstad. The church seats about 300 people.

Alstad station

Alstad Station was a railway station on the Nordland Line just north of the village of Skatval in Stjørdal municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. With the opening of the section of the Hell–Sunnan Line through Stjørdal on 29 October 1902, a passing loop was taken into use at Alstad. A station was built 50 meters (160 ft) north of the passing loop in 1934. The passing loop was removed in 1972 and the station remained in revenue service until 23 May 1993. It was officially closed on 1 September 1993.
