American Catholic Radio (ACR) is a weekly half-hour program of Catholic information and inspiration aimed mainly at Catholic and Protestant Christian listeners. Originally hosted by Rev. Greg Friedman, O.F.M., Father Friedman retired from the program in December 2012. Segment producer Judy Zarick was promoted to program host and with the first weekly program broadcast in January 2013.
The program is produced weekly and distributed to broadcast stations in the United States and abroad. It began as a cooperative venture between the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and St. Anthony Messenger Press. In 2010, St. Anthony Messenger took full ownership of the program while retaining some funding from the U.S.C.C.B. In 2012 St. Anthony Messenger Press changed its corporate name to "Franciscan Media".
The program is a "magazine" style format featuring inspiration first person interviews and topical interviews related to the teaching and practice of the Catholic Faith in America. With the change in host in January 2013 also came a change in emphasis. Complementing the theme of the United States Bishops document entitled, "Disciples Called to Witness; The New Evangelization," the American Catholic Radio program adopted the "Disciples Called to Witness" sub title and added a weekly interview with an American Catholic prelate oriented towards encouraging Catholics and Catholic parishes to adopt a focus on evangelization and nurturing disciples within their homes, communities, parishes and workplace.

Fulton John Sheen was an American bishop of the Catholic Church known for his preaching and especially his work on television and radio. Ordained a priest of the Diocese of Peoria in Illinois, in 1919, Sheen quickly became a renowned theologian, earning the Cardinal Mercier Prize for International Philosophy in 1923. He went on to teach theology and philosophy at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and served as a parish priest before he was appointed auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of New York in 1951. He held this position until 1966 when he was made bishop of the Diocese of Rochester in New York. He resigned as bishop of Rochester in 1969 as his 75th birthday approached and was made archbishop of the titular see of Newport, Wales.
The Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) is an American basic cable television network which presents around-the-clock Catholic-themed programming. It is not only the largest Catholic television network in America, but reportedly "the world's largest religious media network", reaching 425 million people in 160 countries, with 11 networks. It was founded by Mother Angelica, in 1980 and began broadcasting on August 15, 1981, from a garage studio at the Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Irondale, Alabama, which Mother Angelica founded in 1962. She hosted her own show, Mother Angelica Live, until health issues led to her retirement in September 2001. As of 2017, Michael P. Warsaw, who is a consultant to the Vatican's Dicastery for Communications, leads EWTN.
The University of Saint Mary of the Lake (USML) is a private Roman Catholic seminary in Mundelein, Illinois. It is the principal seminary and school of theology for the formation of priests in the Archdiocese of Chicago in Illinois. USML was chartered by the Illinois General Assembly in 1844. USML is often referred to by the name of its graduate program, Mundelein Seminary. Its compound name is University of Saint Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary.

Robert Joseph Fox was an American priest of the Roman Catholic church. He was an author of religious books and tapes, and appeared on many Roman Catholic television programs and conferences. Fox also served as a diocesan priest for several rural towns in South Dakota.

KNOM and KNOM-FM are non-commercial Catholic radio stations in Nome, Alaska. The station owners and licensees are KNOM Radio Mission, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit entity with seven board members. The FM signal has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 1,000 watts and covers the city of Nome and adjacent communities. KNOM AM 780 is considered a Class A station. By day, it transmits with 25,000 watts and can be heard as far north as Barter Island and as far south as the Alaska Peninsula, with regular coverage of approximately 100,000 square miles (260,000 km2). With a good radio, it can be heard into the Russian Far East. At night, power is reduced to 14,000 watts.
