The Tour Player's Classic was a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour that took place in England. It was only held in 1990 and 1997 in Tytherington, Cheshire. [1]

Annika Sörenstam is a retired Swedish professional golfer. She is regarded as one of the best golfers in history. Before stepping away from competitive golf at the end of the 2008 season, she had won 90 international tournaments as a professional, making her the female golfer with the most wins to her name. She has won 72 official LPGA tournaments including ten majors and 18 other tournaments internationally, and she tops the LPGA's career money list with earnings of over $22 million—over $2 million ahead of her nearest rival while playing 149 fewer events. Since 2006, Sörenstam has held dual American and Swedish citizenship.

The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. It is based at Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London in England. Like many UK-based sports organisations it is a company limited by guarantee, a legal structure which enables it to focus on maximising returns to its members through prize money, rather than on making profits for investors. The tour is run by a Board of Directors and a Players' Council. Most of the players on the tour are European, with members from more than 40 countries internationally. The tour operates tournaments across five continents.

The Ladies Swiss Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour that is held in Switzerland. It was first played in 1996 and 1997, the first LET event in Switzerland since the Ladies Swiss Classic (1988–1990). It was played 2006–2012 with Deutsche Bank as the title sponsor. After a 8 year hiatus it returned to the LET schedule again in 2020, this time with Liechtenstein-based VP Bank as title sponsor.
