History
The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) began in 1966 when a few roadway safety barricade rental operators got together in Chicago to discuss ways in which they could cooperate to upgrade the industry and improve their own businesses.
Out of this grew a somewhat informal association of barricade rental companies which, in 1969, became the rental division of the American Traffic Safety Control Devices Association. Later, in 1969, it was decided to form the American Traffic Services Association and the first general meeting was held in Chicago in the spring of 1970. The first annual convention was held in New Orleans in early 1971.
In 1982, the first chapter was formed in Texas. In the fall of 1983 there was interest in expanding the membership of ATSSA to include permanent sign manufacturers, and in December 1983 the Sign Manufacturing Division of ATSSA was formally organized. In December 1984 the name of the association was formally changed to the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) in order to better describe the full scope and activities of the association. In October 1988, the association was further expanded to include a Pavement Marking Division (PMD). In November 1998, the board of directors voted to grant full voting status to the manufacturing member companies of ATSSA, and renamed this membership group the Manufacturers and Suppliers Division. Also in 1998, an ITS Council was organized. In March 2003 the Guardrail Services Division was formally organized and currently, a High Friction Surface Council is being developed. ATSSA now includes five organized divisions as well as International, Traffic Engineering & Design Firm, Individual Consultant, and Individual Manufacturers Representative members. The association's current membership totals approximately 12,800.

SAE International is a global professional association and standards organization based in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, United States. It was originally known as the Instrument Society of America. The society is more commonly known by its acronym, ISA, and the society's scope now includes many technical and engineering disciplines. ISA is one of the foremost professional organizations in the world for setting standards and educating industry professionals in automation. Instrumentation and automation are some of the key technologies involved in nearly all industrialized manufacturing. Modern industrial manufacturing is a complex interaction of numerous systems. Instrumentation provides regulation for these complex systems using many different measurement and control devices. Automation provides the programmable devices that permit greater flexibility in the operation of these complex manufacturing systems.
The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) -- originally the Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce (1922-1945), then Aviation Industries Association (1945-1960) -- is an American trade association representing manufacturers and suppliers of civil, military, and business aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, space systems, aircraft engines, missiles, material, and related components, equipment, services, and information technology in the United States. It also co-sponsors, with the National Association of Rocketry, the America Rocketry Challenge (TARC), an annual competition for high school students. Member companies also give awards and scholarships to top placing teams at the TARC national finals each year, and it is funded through sponsoring companies. AIA also develops the manufacturing standards called National Aerospace Standards, which are available to aerospace manufacturers that conform to United States Military Standard's for equipment manufacturing and provide standards for other various components.

The American Trucking Associations (ATA), founded in 1933, is the largest national trade association for the trucking industry. ATA represents more than 37,000 members covering every type of motor carrier in the United States through a federation of other trucking groups, industry-related conferences, and its 50 affiliated state trucking associations. Former Governor of Kansas Bill Graves was replaced by Chris Spear as the ATA's president and CEO in July 2016.

Outreach Offshore Ltd is a supplier of hydraulic cranes, lifting and access equipment. The company was founded in 1990 and its headquarters are in Falkirk, Scotland. Formerly a division of Outreach Ltd, Outreach Offshore continued after the formal disbanding of the parent company in May 2018.
